  1. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) What are you studying? But specifically, as of tommorrow, we will be reading Buewolf (sp).
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) There is a good shot Brandon wont make the playoff roster, let alone start game one. :banghead I know that but I am saying, look at how he has pitched vs playoff teams or contenders in his last 3 outings....Texas, Boston, and Aneheim. If he is the hot-hand, I feel I could trust him and I would start him in game 1. The likelihood is probably none to none but hey, that's what I would do.

Also, I saw Deuce Bigelow Euro Gigolo.....funny but not great. Some very funny parts, some not-funny parts. The plot was pretty funny.

40 Year-Old Virgin was HILARIOUS. The whole waxing scene was priceless. What he was calling the Asian wax lady had me rolling. The movie as a whole was hilarious. The poker scene at the beginning...priceless.
  5. I saw Jackie Brown for the 1st time the other day on the IFC and I liked it a lot. Samuel L. Jackson looks wierd with the long balding hair and DeNiro was great. But of course, Pulp Fiction blows all out of the water. English muthaf***a! Do you speak it?

    Happy birthday

Happy Birthday....congrats on getting your liscense!
  7. Yeah, Cingular has the Mobile to Mobile thing for other Cingular users. Make sure to try ang get rollover too, I loooooove rollover. Cingular and T-Mobile have been the only 2 I have used and Cingular blows T-Mobile out of the water. Seems as though Sprint/Nextel will be pretty big now with their merger,
  8. Oh yeah, War at Home was mighty funny. I'm gonna have to be a regular watcher of that show. I love the Larry is gay thing with all the drag and what not. Didn't get to see American Dad though....
  9. I wasn't overly impressed with the Family Guy episode but it wasn't bad. The whole James Woods sage with Brian was pretty funny.
  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) Don't you know, $5 yellow flip flops are the rage? Dude, get it right, Orange is today, Green is tommorrow. Yellow = pssh. :rolly
  11. The fact of the matter is that McCarthy has pretty much been dominating and El Duque has been on a constant downfall, if I were Ozzie and this team makes the playoffs, Im goign with the hot hand in Game 1 and if Ozzie is smart....games 1 and 2 will be McCarthy/Count or vica versa.
  12. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Usually I'm pretty positive about this season, but this weekend told me that we don't belong. We just don't. I don't know where our guts, and clawing, and swagger went, but I didn't see it all weekend. Barring a serious attitude adjustment, I don't see us getting very far now. This is definitely reminding me of 2000 all over again. ^ Sums it up to me. They just completely lost focus but I'm trying to stay optomistic here...
  13. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 04:16 AM) Yes, I do enjoy messing with Photoshop, it is a quick and clean way to produce art. I mainly use Photoshop to edit my photo's and abstract art. I did post for a while at West Coast and was (breifly) on the crew at baseball central. But these sites members ages seem to average around 17 or 18,so I no longer post there, Soxtalk is the only place that I post. I do sometimes think that I should post more often in other areas of the site, while I enjoy reading some of the forums, but being relatively new to baseball (2nd full season) I don't usualy have anything to add. I have learnt loads of stuff about the intricacies of baseball by reading posts in Pale Horse....but still get lost when it comes to trades and stats. Just wanted to let you know...everytime I walk into my British Literature class, I think to myself...."Hmmm, British.....DEPLODERER!" Sad, really.
  14. Sure, call me a homer but everyone does it. I am overly confident with the Bears and while being very optomistic, I am expecting a 0-16 season. Thats just my philosophy with them. Hope for the best but expect the worst...this way, you'll never be dissapointed.
  15. I can replace him in the booth with Farmio? I do take a Jounalism class? And I am head of the Sports Committee? Me and Farmio --
  16. Chicago Tribune Live tells me all I need to know about Mr. Rogers...
  17. Seem's like it wasn't as good as originally thought?
  18. Excellent work...as well Simon. You've really been cranking them out lately!

    Hurricane Katrina

Not to make light of the situation but.... "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) That 12 is the exact one I just got, except with a B square scope, I think. I haven't actually seen it yet, it's a present from my dad and uncle. The 20 was two for two, including a doe my first year and an 8 pt buck my second year. Seemed to do the job. And then some. I shot the first in the bottom of the heart and I got the second in the heart and liver. Both went less than 50 yards and I watched them fall. Nice. Still haven't killed a buck but I got my 1st doe last year with the 7 MM. Dropped dead on it's tracks with a double lung shot.

    Back to school

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) We usually put one out every 3 weeks but we squeezed one in every two at times last year. How long is yours? Ours was a typical twelve page format: 1: Front, main news story, teaser, what's inside 2: news stories, ads, editors notes 3: news stories, ads 4: sports, ads 5: sports, ads 6: feature idea, such as study habits, homework loads, included surveys 7: other side of feature 8: opinion.....poll and 8 students questioned on a topic, plus opinion column 9: opinion, more opinion columns 10: entertainment 11: special, such as an election feature 12: candid photos with a theme We would have to have the paper sent electronically by Tuesday of week 3 for publication on Friday on week 3, as the local newspaper printed it. Our staff was, for all basic purposes, 12-16 kids, including editors. Our adviser also said last year, my senior year, was the least work she's ever had, so my co editor and I took real pride in that. Yeah, ours is 12 pages but a bit different format: 1: Main Stories 2: News (National) 3: News (Local) 4: Entertainement 5: Student Life, Around the School 6: Feature 7: Feature 8: Opinion 9: Misc. Photos, Fun Stuff, News 10: Special (Holidays, Events, etc) 11: Sports 12: Sports

    2nd car anyone??

We're selling my dads old car and looking for a new car for me....looks good.
  23. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) I used a Remington 20 gauge the past two years, looking to get one with my new 12 this winter. My uncle owns land by a state park. We take Polaris Rangers out and drop off 8-10 people at different stands and go from there. It's illegal to take cell phones out, but we do anyways that way we can call back to the house if we get one, as I can field dress a deer if someone tells me what to do, but I'd get lost doing it myself. 20 gauge for deer? I wouldn't but if you have had success, good job. I use my dad's 12 gauge Remington 870 Express Mag with a Leupold scope...sweet gun.
