  1. The previous post is a proud owner of the Rex Kickass seal of approval. I dropped the van when I dropped my love for Stryper.,
  2. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I saw that hyperstupid Woody Paige trying to hang a curse on the White Sox this morning on that 1st and 10 segment. That guy is the Lewis Black of sports - all yelling and twitching and no substance. Now that's just an insult to Lewis Black.
  3. No. This choice is safe. Which is why it inflames both sides of the spectrum. In the end, they aren't getting the fight that they truly want.
  4. Miers did interview me... they thought about packing the whole court with Michigan City folk. But I guess it didn't pan out. Too bad, I look awesome in a robe.
  5. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) Going back to cruisin'? Aye Aye Cap'n!
  6. It appears at first glance that the President has chosen not to play politics with his Supreme Court nominations. That's a very good thing and something that his father AND Bill Clinton both failed to do.
  7. I'm going to be changing jobs this week, yet again.
  8. This dude makes lots of leaps of faith. A group gets told where to march in the organization of a parade? Liberal Media Bias! Give me a break.
  9. I believe I already have. He's good for fundraising though.
  10. I really hope there's no truth to it. That would open up a terrible moment in American history.
  11. Actually, I seem to remember that conservatives aren't huge fans of hers either. Unless something really outrageous comes out - its his perogative. Confirm her.
  12. You've never seen a McDonalds? Or Wendy's? Or Burger King? Or Panera Bread, Atlanta Bread?
  13. When all things are equal, a black person charged with a crime is more likely to receive a stiffer sentence than a white person charged with the same crime.
  14. It's been a couple years for me.... I worked tailgates during the Bobby Williams games for the radio station that carried the games. Maybe I was just tired at 7 AM and didn't notice. My last football season in Lansing was firebobbywilliams.com season. I just remember the ND game being the one I thought Jeff Smoker fixed to pay off his Cocaine debts.
  15. Sorry, the little conservative living inside of me came out here. And yeah, I've been to a smoke-free gay bar. In a town where there wasn't a ban on smoking in bars.
  16. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) I really hope that you answered that question yourself not long after posting it. Read it again and think a bit and you will understand there is no logic there. In case it isn't so obvious: 1. Not everyone drinks in a bar 2. Not everyone drinks to excess in a bar 3. Not everyone drives after drinking to excess Drinking and driving IS regulated. Drinking to excess IS regualted. Both are instances where drinking can affect others around them. Drinking a beer or a glass of wine is not because it shouldn't be. The bottom line is that public health policies have existed ever since government has. We many not agree with every one of them, but at some point it IS goverment's job to regulate the health of its citizens when others are affected. That is not even taking into account the reality of the cost to local/state/federal governments from smoking. Think about it. People will crow about governments banning smoking. They will also crow about public healthcare and the concept of a hospital turning down sick patients that do not have insurance. Yet no one seems to care if those doing the smoking have health insurance or not. The bill has to be paid somewhere so it is indeed a public health policy manner. You know there aren't many bars that I've been to that often set a three drink maximum. Not everyone smokes in a bar either. Not everyone is even bothered by smoke in a bar. But some people are. Not everyone drinks in a bar. Not everyone gets trashed and drives in a bar. But I know, from personal experience, that some do.
  17. Prison population by race does not necessarily jibe with crime rate. A black person is something like five times more likely to be sentenced to prison time than a white person if I remember correctly.
  18. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) Im going to buy a pair of red socks tonight and use them as my mastrabatorial rag until the end of the series. its my way of totally owning them Stop copying me!
  19. I think its "Make Your Case Sunday" between BMac, Viz and Duque pitching today.
  20. Is this audition for the 25th spot Sunday?
  21. If they were dramatic moments, I could understand it - but its the first freakin inning!
