  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) My choices are down to: Akron U Grand Valley St. Rutgers U St. Cloud St. GVSU has kind of a crappy campus in my opinion. Rutgers has a nice campus in the middle of a crappy city (New Brunswick)
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) Tom DeLay Gotta Love The Hammer. Anyone who works to keep the sex trade and sweatshops legal on American territory (Saipan) does not get my love.

  6. You know what sucks, I was watching the CELL last night and every Scout seat was empty for that Tigers game. Ridiculous!
  7. I didn't think you did. I just want everyone to be clear.
  8. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 07:53 AM) This is fine as long as they ban common law marriages :rolly , single parent homes, etc. This is a ban for foster parents, not adoptive parents, the way I understand it. On adoption, I don't like babies going to an adoptive gay couple, but an older kid that is harder to place - a "gay" home is better than "no" home. My opinion has nothing to do with gay or straight, but more to do with the fact that every kid needs, deserves a mother and a father. This from a guy that's never met his father. Just my $0.02 Eye, Maybe this wouldn't be such a big deal to me if this argument was really just about getting a kid a foster parent. The problem is that there is an agenda far more nefarious. Banning gay marriage wasn't really about gay marriage. It was about finding a way to legally codify discrimination. They take away the right to be a foster parent, and it will damage the ability to be a regular parent. You explicitly remove the right to marry, it becomes that much easier to discriminate against homosexuals in the workplace, in the housing market, etc. Maybe you don't think its that widespread or planned. But I'll tell you this, three years ago - it was illegal to have sex with another consenting adult of the same sex in Texas.
  9. She ran for governor of California, right? Beat Gary Coleman I think.
  10. I'm sorry, but they're both asshats. It is never acceptable to spit in a 70 year old woman's face.
  11. The person I'm dating didn't mind at all. Just flattered that Eeyore flirted...
  12. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) I'm honestly split down the middle on this. I can see both sides. I know I wouldn't want gay parents because I would be afraid kids would think I'm automatically gay. But on the other hand, it's not fair to discriminate like that. It would be like discriminating lefthanders saying they can't have kids. Sure it's totally different, but they both are 10% of the population. You also realize that in a situation where a divorce happens because one of the parents is gay, that it will make the custody battle that much easier for the straight parent to win... even if it was the straight parent who asked for the divorce or was abusive or showed him/herself to be unfit in another way.
  13. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) Plus, it's not like kids with gay or lesbian parents have to wear a shirt that says "My parents are gay." Sure stuff gets around, but really. My parents are straight, but I had to wear the shirt... Maybe that explains things....
  14. Garland is just looking better and better to this person who can't see the games.
  15. I'm hearing that. Its nice to see pitching live up to its potential on this staff for once.

  17. Widger fielders choice. Nice two out offense. Remember back in 2000, I think there was a game where we went 1-2, then produced something like 10 runs in the first.
  18. Ledezma's era went from 3 to almost 6 in 2/3 of an inning.
  19. I'd have to agree here. Maggs is looking more and more like a boondoggle for the Ralph Wiggums of the AL Central.
  20. In the AL, is that really as important? With the DH, it's not like the every third inning off offensive mentality of the NL I thought. Or am I way off here?
