  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Yikes, that will make working in Mexico an even bigger pain in the ass. Currently it's a simple two question pass "American Citizen?" "yes" "Anything to Declare?" "no" "Have a nice day . . ." Border crossing could take anywhere from 5 seconds to an hour depending on the tourist traffic, number of bridge lanes open, if you were in a Customs (slow) or Immigration (fast) staffed lane. Its much tighter in Windsor. I almost didn't get let back in to the States because I didn't have my birth certificate with me, this law was changed and enforced in 2002, 2003. I also had cuban cigars confiscated... by a guy who wanted to obviously smoke them. Should have seen his face when I made them destroy them in front of me.
  2. This whole thing seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
  3. What a crappy way to end up getting deported.
  4. As long as he isn't reviewing my intimate moments, he can tell me what it smells like as often as he wants. If trends continue, I'll be catching up with two thousand posts a month by July.
  5. Actually, I got this new bathrobe for selling cruises. Its really nice. And when did you start peeking in my windows anyways?
  6. Imus's show is intolerable on radio. I thought him kinda funny when I was watching him and doing mornings on my own. He is the ultimate example of coasting on his reputation. Rush is good at what he does and it has nothing to do with his ideas. It's entirely because he understands the fundamentals of good radio. He is popular and considered an important radio voice based on talent and timing. If he had done what he was doing and spewing a Castro like communist agenda, it probably would have gone over just as big... because its medium over message. He changed the format.

    Saul Bellow

He is on my list of authors to get to. Shame to see so many talented souls leave this earthly coil lately.
  8. It's more important for our Sec. of State to be there, then President Carter.
  9. I think O'Reilly translates better to TV than radio. Much more effective as a communicator. Ingraham is alright as far as talk goes. Springer is a very good talk radio host. He seems to understand the medium. Better than Franken, and G. Gordon Liddy. Not quite as well as Hannity, Rush or Randi Rhodes. But he has the ability to be very powerful in the business especially since he's Clear Channel backed which gives him access to Cleveland and a couple of other bigger markets that Air America hasn't cracked yet.
  10. She doesn't have the foundation on covering the acne.
  11. It took winodj over a year to reach one thousand posts. It took him over six months to reach two thousand posts. It took him less than three months to reach three thousand posts. If trends continue, I could be battling Southsider for Spam Superiority within two years!
  12. This kinda scares me a little. http://channels.netscape.com/ns/news/story...0&w=RTR&coview=
  13. Not gonna happen. He just started a national talk show on Air America, syndicated over 50 cities. He can't do that AND run for governor. I believe its against the law. By the way, I heard his show for the first time today. Actually really good. Nothing that you'd expect either if you watch his TV show either.
  14. From the city that brought you Jerry Springer...
  15. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) ??????????? who cares whose hole he sticks it in ???????????? as long as it ain't mine I could care less... You don't but apparently a lot of people do. Because 13 states passed constitutional amendments saying that they care "which hole you stick it in." In most states, you can be fired if you're suspected of "sticking it in the wrong hole." You also can be legally denied housing for the same reason. A gay baseball player would do a lot to make people realize that gay people aren't coming after your children or whatever the hell it is that makes them so scared of the issue.
  16. You're lying. Seinfeld speaks the truth on this one. Just ask elaine. One poppy seed bagel and she's on her way to rehab.
  17. How awesome would it be if A-Rod is gay? Pretty freakin awesome. Having a superstar, or the superstar, in the game come out would be great for the game and for the GLBT community at large. It's one thing to ghettoize a minor leaguer hack who bats below the mendoza line, but it would be hard to do that with someone who owns a quarter billion dollar contract.
  18. If Congressman Moran did the website, then Sean Hannity has every reason to call him an asshole. (channels Ari Fleischer) If not, although he has a first amendment right to do so, it is quite the unamerican thing to do, to show such utter disrespect for a member of our government. After all, we are in a time of war and we should watch what we say because to do otherwise would be giving aid and comfort to the enemy. (/channeling)
  19. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) For the record, Cheney has already shot down this "answer for their behavior" thing. That quote by DeLay is the sound of someone throwing ANYTHING he can against the wall to get the country and his district to ignore the ethics violation upon ethics violation upon possible felony indictment heaped upon him. Some people call it the "Rostenkowski moment."
  20. I don't think respect is an issue here. I think the issue is more "Is there time in my schedule running the country to make this event?" His presence at a funeral, of any non-family kind, is as much for the press and his popularity as it is for "respect." And that would apply to any president, regardless of party affiliation.
  21. That's funny. Has he grounded to the same spot all day?
  22. That's more the reason I'm thinking he's going. There would be an uproar if he didn't.
