  1. Casey did three separate countdowns. He still does the ones aimed towards the "adult contemporary" crowd. It could have been Rick Dees who has been off the air since Seacrest took his slot on Kiss-FM LA in the AM, and since his contract with Clear Channel expired and he stopped doing the "Weekly Top 40." Here's a big hint. This broadcaster likes wine.
  2. No. He's still "Countin' Down The Hits."
  3. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) SS2k4, I noticed XM's stock is at around 30 and Sirius is at around 5. Do you know anything about either of these stocks? Sirius is at 5 because its subscriber base, revenue streams and market penetration is less than half of what XM has. Couple that with a much heavier debt load and a business plan that hinges entirely on Sirius's success with getting people to pay to listen to Stern. Something that didn't work for XM when they did the same thing for O&A.
  4. Guess who finally returns to the broadcasting industry may second?
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Go ahead and pick at my wording all you like, but Lugar and Kerry should have their security clearences stripped for being so stupid. If they outed this person, I agree totally.
  6. A civil war will not break out over Quebec. The fact is that most Quebecers don't really want independence. BQ is so popular mostly because of the ridings system and areas of quebec where 50 people live vote for the separatists and get seats in parliament. Or so I was told anyways.
  7. Too true LCR, and what about that Jon Benet thing anyway, all this "politics" is getting into my news about that.
  8. Actually, I like horse. It's just like well aged beef when well prepared except a lot healthier.
  9. This guy I know gets merit raises at his job and it swings from 0% - 6%. I don't get that cause I'm on commission. And as you can see by my increased Soxtalk post count, bidness ain't good. Anyone got a NJ job for a salesman/travel agent/broadcaster?
  10. My dad grew up dirt poor in France. rabbit and horse = cheap meat. Now, its delicacy.
  11. XM is teaming up with AOL for radio.
  12. My grandmother would have just shut the hell up and cooked the rabbit.
  13. The sound quality and reception on Sirius is inferior frankly. Which is a shame because the programming is clearly superior. Better music, better talk.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) Who wants to be fair? Kerry's a tool. So's Bolton.
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) Of course they aren't going to come out and SAY that they blew their cover. The CIA is in damage control now because every media outlet just published the name of an undercover op. Its just common sense if you are going to be working with American intelligence you maintain secrecy. Then again when the Republicians did this it was a big deal, now that JFK is involved it is a back page thing on Yahoo Asia... If every media outlet said it, why can you only find it on Yahoo! Asia?
  16. To be fair, they don't know if the agent that Kerry blew anyone's cover at the moment, and if he did that would be a big problem... but it provides a convenient aside for people who want to forget that UN Ambassador nominee John Bolton had a terrible confirmation hearing and might get thrown under the bus in the next couple of days.
  17. 5-2 with all that Tinkering. When will this madness end?
  18. low and outside according to gamecast on sportsline

I never found that stuff awkward.... But then......
  20. He's also going to be a UN Envoy for Tsunami Relief.
  21. The Ascot Motel, just across from the Tropicana had one of the outside walkways on the second floor collapse. The building has been evacuated and closed as unsafe. This is probably the end for a cool looking motel. There just aren't enough of these left.

  23. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:32 AM) LOL! See, I woulda been VERY happy in your house, as I love both. Though Lamb gets the nod from me. The first Clash album is really the gem from them, with London Calling being one of the most overrated albums in music. I love London Calling to be honest with you, but I think Combat Rock may have been their best effort. But I could be biased because it has Allen Ginsberg spoken word on the record.
  24. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) Yeah, it's funny how liking a few Prog bands has always gotten me the label of a Prog fan. You're not the only one to call me "Mr. Prog Rock". It's funny, I guess that says alot about that style of music. If you like one band, such as Rush, it can be accepted, but if you like more than one, you instantly become a "Prog Fan". Yeah, so I was listening to Lamb Lies Down On Broadway this morning and wondering how anybody could dislike it, so what! But I was thinking about your comments and the thought that any idea can be achieved in under 3 minutes. Ya know, I am not so sure that Gabriel's lyrics would sound right with a Backyard Babies style backing! LOL!!! I take it you have no time at all for Classical? Jello is a bit hit or miss, isn't he? Especially after DK. I lost Genesis when they lost Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins lost his hair.
