  1. Good for you. Myself, with every decision - I follow this simple rule.
  2. He's coming for Whoopi next. The Vilanch that ate Hollywood. Coming to a theatre nowhere near you.
  3. I think Bruce Villanch ate Jm J Bullock, Paul Lynde and Charles Nelson Riley actually.
  4. Progress to me would be getting to the playoffs and winning ONE game. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but it would be one step further to that pennant than we've gone since 1983.
  5. It ended up being a little under 3,000 actually. I remember initial estimates though ranging at 25K. The toll will likely increase by hundreds of thousands more as diseases ravage areas where they still have no contact with.
  6. I agree, and circle gets the square. There's a lady who works here that sounds kinda like Paul Lynde. Wanna buy a cruise?
  7. Jimm: I don't disagree with you about the idea of Creationism getting its foot in the door - I just simply stated that there is no mention of "biblical creationism" in ID curriculum. There are other creationist stories as well. Some of the Native American ones are kinda cool.
  8. Another story in the losers "oughta hang it up" file. From Washington state. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/31/national...ogin&oref=login
  9. Actually, neither of them will. Kennedy's staff has said no. Kerry already conceded, and although they have been "under the radar" exploring the possibilities of fraud, I highly doubt that he would do any such thing. You might have a more likely voice of dissent from Carl Levin or even Jim Jeffords.
  10. sign me up! Lemme get the house ball I bought there in 1989!
  11. Last time I went the front of the lanes tilted a different direction as the rear of them. I haven't been there in 6 years.
  12. Well, I'm glad that they were able to successfully recycle the stuff he did with Monty Python, because Idle's new comedy material is striking in how sleep inducing it is.
  13. Gas Chambers. http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/f...ds_x.htm?csp=34 I'll have the unleaded chicken please!
  14. Apparently, a lot. Your official "It's slow at work" (PATENT PENDING) link of the day. Stolen from FARK.com http://www.angelfire.com/extreme3/tacobell/
  15. Damn. These are the same people that protested Matthew Shephard's funeral and want to erect a statue "celebrating" his death in downtown Laramie.
  16. Guy surfs the tsunami: http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/520863.html
  17. I never said it was funny. Sadly, these people are serious.
  18. As philosophy? Got no problem with it. I have a problem with it being held on the same level as the rest of the scientific "canon." But, in an effort to rehijack the thread back to the whole gaybashing - "appropriate to use racial slurs as fun" argument, I'd like to point this little flyer out from the Reverend Phelps in Topeka, Kansas. If you really want to know why a lot of gay people bristle when "their" word is hijacked to a negative connotation - maybe because there are too many people that find these words acceptable. Isn't that sweet?
  19. Yes, but ID generally avoids biblical creationism. It is a political movement to bring creationism back into the school - by hinting at it but not mentioning it.

  21. ID is not biblical creationism. Since there is little provable science and evidence to support biblical creationism, it is not viewed as a viable alternative. Scientists make "best guesses" based on the data that they have available. More data supports evolution rather than anything else. As such, evolution seems the most viable alternative. *thinking about retearning the thread back to its original intent* Evolution is gay?
  22. The World Bank has pledged 250 million dollars, roughly one half of the money donated by governments and public NGOs since this crisis started. There's talk of a final death toll for this exceeding 400,000 people now.
