If Rodon really just hit a wall due to innings last year and his injury issues are truly behind him, Sox done fucked up by not bringing him back. If he throws 165+ innings this year, someone is going to give him a huge deal.

It also doesn't help that the Sox farm system sucks and they couldn't land Manaea. They're going to have to try to scrape by with VV/Keuchel in the 4/5 spots during April(or until Cueto is ready) and quite frankly even though VV kinda sucks I'd still rather roll with him in the 5th spot when Cueto is ready because I see an outside chance of hope for him, but none for Keuchel. BTW Cueto should have been signed weeks ago and he should be ready now, but the Sox are dumbasses.

Lynn is 6-8 more likely. It's ok, because Cease and Kopech are going to shove, and so will Gio in a couple weeks. Kopech's stuff is so good he can still get outs when he has no command like yesterday.

If they weren't idiots and didn't overspend on an aging Keuchel they could have re-signed Rodon. It's the dumb Keuchel contract's fault. It was a fool's errand to think that he wouldn't lose it fairly quickly. Rodon's money is going to Keuchel. Rodon Salary: $22M Keuchel Salary: $18M One guy is a gascan and the other is an ace when healthy. They should have just said "fuck it" after missing on Wheeler and saved the $ for the 2021 offseason.

If they were going to start him ever they should have restrained themselves in 2020 and not started his clock. He only has 3 options and if they did send him down to start it would probably be Birmingham.
