I saw him as a potential 30/30 guy in 2017. I am surprised he never got there. Maybe my expectations were too high. I don't disagree with anything you said here.

Shit, I defended him last year. I'm concerned about the fact that he has 0 xbh this spring. That's.....not good. If Moncada is the guy he was in 2021 that's very good. Nobody is complaining about that.

If Moncada does the same thing he did in 2021 I won't complain. That's a solid player. Like I said, Moncada gets a ton of flak because of who he was traded for, and it's not fair to him. People expected superstar, and they got above average.

He's not the same player he was in 2019, it's pretty obvious. It sucks, but I've accepted that. I defended him and Giolito a lot in 2018 when they were the board punching bags.

They should too. Nobody does it though. Eloy and Robert chase a lot of bullshit. Moncada gets extra flak as the centerpiece of the Sale trade. It's not his fault, but that's what it comes down to.

Moncada had elite EV in 2019 and hasn't been anywhere close since. Even in 2017 and 2018 the ball used to explode off his bat when he made contact. That isn't happening anymore.

Moncada is late on everything. He's lost his bat speed. Dude could totally pull a Bellinger this year. Nobody is afraid of him anymore.

If they start Keuchel they're basically conceding the game. I'd take my chances with Lopez.

They're going to carry him for a while.....hopefully they cut bait in June.
