  1. I think they should give him a look in RF right now. What do they have to lose? Start him everyday. I've seen enough of Eaton.
  2. BTW I wouldn't touch Gallen with a 10 ft pole right now as he's pitching with a partially torn UCL.
  3. Me too. Pittsburgh can afford to develop him in MLB as well. IMO they've fucked up Crochet's development already to the point that he's useless to the Sox. Go trade him for Reynolds.
  4. Nope, once they added him to the 40 man every year he goes down uses an option. I still agree with them picking Crochet but I completely disagree with how he's been handled.
  5. There's no guarantee that he'll be ready by the time he runs out of options. Especially if they use one this year. He has to be developed at the MLB level by a rebuilding team at this point. I agreed with the pick but they totally botched his development completely.
  6. They completely fucked up his development. He has to be traded at this point. He should be a starter, but not for the Sox. The fact that they started his clock already and he has to be optioned each year also reduces his value. He needs to go to AA and start. He should also scrap the changeup for a splitter. Not enough separation between his fastball and change in game situations.
  7. I have no idea how this team is going to win a game against the Twins. They're not going to be able to score enough runs.
  8. If they don't win in 2022 then it's probably a failed rebuild at that point.
  9. They have to do that anyway if they want to win in 2022. Remember Lynn and Rodon are free agents that need to be replaced. They're gone anyway after this year. I'm more concerned about getting Kopech and Crochet their innings at this point so they can start ASAP. If Kopech can't start or is on an innings limit in 2022 that's a huge blow.
  10. Get what you can for Lynn and Rodon, go shore up the weak spots, spend in the offseason and go get 'em in 2022. The window hasn't opened yet because of the injuries this year. This is an entirely situational sell. They lost their two best hitters for the majority of the season. No soft rebuild or anything, just packing up and going and getting them next year.
  11. You're thinking like a fan, not a GM. Selling would be a ruthless thing to do, but one that smart front offices like the Rays don't think twice about.
  12. Yep nothing will change until Uncle Jerry is gone. At least we have '05.
  13. After seeing this game I hope that Bob is wrong. No reason to waste assets on this team. Roll with what you have and hope for the best.
  14. If Montgomery is gone, where do you see them going?
  15. Vaughn, Crochet and Burger for Reynolds and Frazier....who says no?
