You want to know what's crazy? while no guarantee, I think there's still a possibility that the Sox make the playoffs even without Rodon/Lynn, with Kopech sliding into the rotation. I don't think they're winning the WS anyway this year so I don't understand the outrage.

If there was a chance that Robert/Jimenez could return by the ASB then my opinion would be different. They might be back in September, and that is if they have no setbacks. Not trading Lynn/Rodon if they can't be extended is a fireable offense.

It's Hahn's job to think long-term in this situation. They could get a haul for Lynn.

If I'm Hahn, I'm not trading for any rentals. Any acquisition would have to have 3+ years of control. A smart FO would spend the next 4 weeks negotiating with Lynn/Rodon and if they can't reach an agreement with either, then move them. Let the chips fall where they may. This season is cursed and not meant to be. The Sox have no depth whatsoever and it's being exposed. Rentals would be for if they were mostly healthy.

He's already out of Uncle Jerry's price range. Enjoy this season. It really sucks that Jimenez and Robert are injured because I think this might be the best team in the entire window. We're not going to have guys like Lynn and Rodon again. As good as Kopech will be, idk if he's going to be the horse Lynn is. This has the feel of the 2010 Blackhawks if Kane got injured and Hossa didn't come back until March.

If they're only going to overturn 50% of the plays that should be overturned then just scrap it. I'm also of the opinion that they should get rid of the K zone graphics. It makes for a better game and I'm tired of all of the bitching about the umps.

As long as Jay Clam is raking against RHP, he and Mercedes should be platooning at DH. I disagree with his spot in the order as I think Madrigal should be hitting 2nd for now.

Lamb is a fine bench piece, but Eaton sucks because he's always injured now. They still have a black hole in RF. I'm pretty ok with the Sox rotation and lineup in 2022 except for RF. They need a 5th starter, a RF and some middle relief and that's about it. I'd like them to offer Lynn a 2/44 deal or something like that and then they're really set.

The Sox really need another LH bat.
