5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
Yoan has been late on fastballs way too much. That 2-1 should have been in the RF bleachers.

Yeah that pic made it look better than it is. 5.5

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
On a scale of 1 to Valentin, how would you rate? I say an easy 7.

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I know, Valentin is the standard that all baseball mustaches are judged by.

How does it compare to Jose Valentin?

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I think he got fined at least for the Buehrle/West and Quintana/Wegner rants. That's just off the top of my head. I was under the impression that announcers criticizing umps was a similar offense to a player arguing balls and strikes.

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I used to love that Hawk wasn't afraid of calling out an Ump that was bad at his job, so much so that it seemed he did not care about whatever he'd get fined. It seemed like he'd almost be glad to write the check lol.

I think Rutherford is running out of options as well, so they better look before they have to DFA him. It's time to either give him a look or trade him to someone who will.

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I'd rather give Rutherford a look to see if anything is there than play either of Hamilton/Garcia or Eaton on one leg. Eaton's problem has been that he's always injured, more than anything else. He's either playing hurt and bad or not playing at all in recent years. Also: Engel needs to be playing CF.

5/25 Cardinals vs. White Sox
Moncada and Eaton have gone in opposite directions since mid-April. Moncada started very slowly, and then has been mostly a monster(outside of hitting HRs) since mid-April while Eaton started out on fire and has been awful since around the same time.

Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
There is a point where a hitter gets so few hits that the other things that he brings to the table are somewhat negated by his inability to get a hit. I like to call it the Sox Adam Dunn rule. In my opinion, that threshold is about .230 If a player is below this line, then the value of the power and walks are diminished. We shall dub it the Dunn Line, as Adam Dunn walked that line during the most productive parts of his career.

The TLR Manager Thread
I'd be more concerned about the Yankees or Boston signing Rodon. They're not afraid to take a risk on a guy like that.

Rodon
To me, the Sox are a budding juggernaut and if Carlos wants to stay, he has to remind Boras that he works for Carlos and not the other way around. I think somewhere between 3/45 and the Keuchel deal could get it done. However, there could be way more money out there as there are always teams that are willing to bet big on stuff. I could see him getting a 4/80 offer from someone. What is working in the Sox favor is the pandemic, as it could limit the number of teams that would be willing to pay up. Imo the teams we really have to watch out for are Boston and the Yankees.

I don't think Montgomery has been bad this year, but I could be wrong.

The Sox lit up Cole the last time they saw him. It was about 2 years ago though.

Yep I'm just glad the Sox got this year from him during a contending season rather than 2017 or something.
