This. The only Sox prospects with real value are the ones you don't want to trade. (Robert, Madrigal, Vaughn, Kopech) Unfortunately, all of the secondary guys that we hoped would supplement the team via trade, haven't panned out to be much of anything. They're all bordering on non-prospect status rather than having any sort of trade value. You can count the number of actual prospects in the Sox system on two hands. JMO: the Big 4 and Matt Thompson/Dalquist are about as deep as the Sox system goes.

Just my opinion, but of that group, Gonzalez and Rutherford are no longer prospects. Of the other three, I lose hope by the month. They're all trade bait, and I wouldn't lose sleep over any of them.

The question with Madrigal is how many 2B/3B/SB is he going to get at the MLB level. Not expecting more than 5 HR from him. I do think players with his profile(granted they prove their doubles/triples/SB ability at the MLB level) undervalued in modern MLB. If he can put up a .750+ OPS, he's going to be a hell of a player.

If they get outbid by the Twins for any of their targets, Hahn and Kenny should be tarred and feathered while being rode out of town on a rail. Either spend the money on FA or spend it internationally and in the draft on scouting and development. You're not allowed to do neither.
