This might be a little out there, but I think that Castellanos might be an Abreu replacement. They might be thinking of him at 1B. I actually prefer Castellanos to JDM

I want to see what Wims and Ridley can do. I like Miller, despite the tension with 10, and Robinson is awesome. They have the potential to be a really good WR group. While Gabriel does catch everything, and he's not completely useless, he has to be wide open to actually be open. That doesn't happen often in the NFL.

Wtf happened to Markkanen? He's gone from a possible star to a scrub in 2 years. He's regressed horribly.

SoxAce can attest to this, it's all about my trust in the FO. I post on a Blackhawks forum and I'm way more positive about them than I am about the Sox. I think that Hahn and Kenny are clowns, so I expect the worst out of him. I think Bowman generally knows what he is doing, so I'm infinitely more positive about the Hawks.

Exactly. If you want to know my opinions Balta and I are almost lockstep in agreement. Balta can explain it better than I can. We disagree here and there, but we're about 90% on the same page.

I hate Keuchel as a pitcher and want absolutely nothing to do with him. I'm 100% with you on Keuchel being not good. You're absolutely right about Keuchel being worse than Buehrle. I didn't realize Keuchel's career WAR was only 18.4. That's.....not good.

Depending on his market, Keuchel could fall into the category of a 2 year deal. I've already made it known I'm not a fan, but he is basically a poor man's Buehrle at this point.

I think he's going to be in Wrigleyville taking over for Bryant at 3B.

I'd rather them trade for Pederson than sign Calhoun, if we're talking 1-2 year commitments. If that's the approach, Ryu, Wood, Encarnacion, trade for Pederson, I guess Harris would be ok as well.

They might get lucky and land Keuchel on a 2 year deal, but I wouldn't expect much more than players in the EE, Wood, Pineda, Roark tier. idk what Dickerson would get but he might be an option.

Thanks. Who could argue that players would rather play for the Yankees and Dodgers rather than the Mets and Angels? It's just common sense. There's a reason why each team is more popular in their cities. (Though the Cubs being more popular than the Sox has never made sense and continues to make no sense-at least with the Yankees/Dodgers there's a winning tradition there)

I want Pace gone more than anyone else. I can live with another season of Nagy if it means Pace gets whacked. (don't get me wrong, Nagy should join him on the first plane out of town) I'm the leader on the Ditch Mitch wagon, but you have to ride the rest of the season with him. Playing Daniel accomplishes nothing.

They might get 2 guys on that list.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about why I think it's going to be hard this year for the Sox to improve on the FA market. I'm not being negative just for the sake of being negative. I think there will be a ton of competition for the players available this winter.
