I think if Witt falls to them, they'll take him though. Please tell me all of the reasons you don't like CJ Abrams. I'd rather them take him over Vaughn.

Moncada
OneDog, I don't think the rebuild can survive, especially at this point, without Moncada becoming a superstar. When the whole thing got started, I've always said that if Moncada fails to be a superstar, this rebuild fails. If he's very good, it could survive at the beginning, but no longer is that the case. Moncada HAS TO develop otherwise this whole thing is kaput.

Moncada
^^^^^ The answer of course with Moncada is we don't know yet. There are reasons to be encouraged and reasons to be discouraged but we all have to just let this season play out. Out of all of the 1st wave players, the guys I believed in the most were Moncada and Giolito, as despite their early poor results I believed they were too talented to suck forever. Patience seems to be paying off with Giolito. If i'm willing to give Moncada until the end of his age 25 season just like I was with Giolito.(and what I mean by that is that they're 25 when the season is over, as they both have mid-season birthdays) if Moncada hasn't figured it out by the end of 2020, then It's time to admit he's a massive disappointment. If Giolito has a regression and is bad the rest of this season, I would say the same about him (I don't think that is going to happen though) We just have to let the rest of the season play out and see what happens.

5/9 Games
I was fairly surprised to find that Madrigal is hitting .276 at Winston Salem. For a player with his profile, that is...well...Not good.

Moncada: Last 15: .241/.297/.362 with 19/4 K/BB Last 30: .250/.300/.425 with 38/8 K/BB All numbers are from whitesox.com I'm starting to get a little concerned that his numbers this year are incredibly inflated by the hot streak he was on in the first week of the season. Maybe he isn't as good this year as we thought he was.

That is OK too, but then does Madrigal become a trade chip? I like that idea. I don't like yanking Moncada around though.

To me, it is Cole, MadBum or sit out. I don't trust Wheeler, and the rest are trash. In a perfect world, I'd like them to sign MadBum, Ozuna and Grandal.

They're going to start hitting for average/power.

What is your rotation out of ST next year, assuming Rodon is gone? Mine is, based on track record/stuff:FA(MadBum)-Giolito -Kopech-Cease-Lopez

Sox vs Indians 12:10 CST Banuelos vs Carrasco
I tend to agree, but I'm not 100% sold. His FIP has been trash forever.

Eddie Rosario has been struggling, and he isn't going to forever, and Cruz will probably go on a power binge.

They don't have enough starters for the innings that need to be eaten. This might sound crazy, but Cease and Giolito might be the only MLB quality arms in the org that aren't injured right now.

That must be who I was thinking of. I thought they were both named Chris, but I guess I was wrong. It was 15 years ago. Meh.

Yes, a different Chris Stewart. This guy was a junkballing lefty.

That was a horseshit call, and was in the RH batters box, but whatever floats your boat.

TILSON / CORDELL
Just DFA Alonso and DH Eloy.

That guy. Woof. Along with Felix Diaz, Chris Stewart, Lorenzo Barcelo and the rest of the 5th starter clown college from 2001-04.
