  1. ^^ That being said, it is approaching the point where we can declare the rebuild a failure.
  2. It is time for apathy. Sox do anything, including play a game: Meh.
  3. Why are they so late on Porcello's 93 mph fastball? That rip by Yonder was the microcosm of me hitting in MLB:The Show. Hit ball hard, ball goes right at OF.
  4. Idk what's going on with Moncada but he's not looking good lately. The K issues are starting to creep back in. That being said, he swung at that pitch really late because he thought the Ump was going to call that a strike
  5. I hope not, but I fear he's got the job until he doesn't want it anymore, which hopefully will be soon.
  6. It isn't an anomaly, it is how it is done when completed by a competent organization.
  7. https://theathletic.com/962235/2019/05/05/white-sox-rotation-woes-are-worse-than-bad-they-dont-even-have-a-purpose/ Why waste any more time with Cease in Charlotte? If they're bringing him up at all this year, get the most out of that 7th year. They can't seriously be concerned about super 2, can they?
  8. The answer to the last two questions is obviously injuries, However Moncada, Lopez and Giolito have been here since August 2017 and haven't been consistent enough to solidify their place on the roster, and everyone else is either injured, still in the minors or both. It is partially bad luck and partially poor talent evaluation. quite frankly, the talent evaluation hasn't been good enough to compensate for the injuries.
  9. He got into a car accident and hurt his throwing shoulder. Must be messed up worse than anyone thought.
  10. Moncada, even with the slump, is still going 1-3 with a single and a walk or 1-4 with a single every night. I'll take that out of a slump. I agree with you about him hitting the ball with authority.
  11. I kind of agree with you, and if that is the case then we can already write off Moncada, Jimenez, Giolito and Lopez. The rebuild looks pretty bleak with those guys being nothing more than average MLB regulars.
  12. Everything I said before this post and after the Martinez double was massive hyperbole. I was just frustrated., I can't walk because I had foot surgery and I can't do anything fun but watch sports on a nice day. I'd much rather be fishing or doing astronomy. Sitting in a wheelchair as I'm typing.
  13. It is incredibly annoying that the Sox can't have their nice shiny prospects come up to the majors and be studly immediately. Now that I'm done venting, does anyone see the Sox winning anything with their current group of players/prospects?
  14. This is horrible advice. Do that and you risk committing suicide. Never mix alcohol and benzodiazapines.
  15. I just see no end to the losing. I'm sad because I got a little emotionally attached to some of these guys success in the bigs and they probably aren't going to win anything here. If it does end up coming together, it will happen right before everyone is getting ready to walk in 2022, and that is if they play baseball at all that season.
  16. This happens all of the time, year after year.
  17. I generally agree to be honest, I'm just venting.
  18. Cordell? Alonso? Sanchez? Rondon? LMAO dude. None of them are any good and none of those guys are better than the other teams's scrubs. Sure, Moncada, Garcia, Anderson and Abreu have been good but the rest of the lineup is a joke.
