I like how I'm sitting at this hotel in South Florida and when I turn to ESPN to watch the game, FSN Florida is in its place to show the Marlins game. Of course ESPN2 is up and running and showing some college world series game. Love how the hotel decided to get rid of ESPN instead of ESPN2. And I cant watch it on ESPN3 b/c its blacked out since I'm in an ESPN market. unbelievable...

I totally get what youre saying. There was a reason why not many shots were taken from the point and since you were there, you def could see the shooting lanes, or lack of, better than what we could see on tv. Cant just throw shots willy-nilly at the net if nothing is there like you said. Hate to bring up the NBCSN angle again but after getting the largest Game 1 audience since 1997 and it being a game for the ages, I'm guessing NBC is getting a major hard-on for what should be some really good ratings for the cable outlet.

Whatever you do, dont count on the NBC Live app for your cell working well enough that you can go to the baseball game and watch the hockey game from your phone. That app is useless and choppy as hell. Nothing like the Watch ESPN app.

NBC is still trying to build up the NBCSN so of course there will be some games on there. The fact that there's just 2 games on cable is pretty good though. It seemed like it use to be only weekend games would be on NBC and weeknight games were on Versus/Outdoor/etc. Might suck if youre in a hotel that doesnt carry NBCSN though. When I was in Dallas 2 weekends ago I didnt have that channel but the hotel I was in Jacksonville 3 days later did. But if having the Stanley Cup Final on NBCSN means that station can grow then I'm all for it. The more live sports channels the better as far as I'm concerned. Plus NBC has been a pretty good thing for the NHL.

for gambling purposes, I'd take LA at +170. I understand why Chicago is a huge favorite but I could never lay -200 for a hockey game.

of course the Mets-Marlins would be a 20 inning game.
