  1. I have no expectations for this team to get out of its current slump. None whatsoever.
  2. Why not Rex? Because of our bullpen situation or his own relative lack of talent? I can see this guy getting called up although not necessarily in front of an Almonte or Ginter.
  3. Let the women have the earth. It needs a lot of help.
  4. I hope Loaiza will still in May. We sure need him.
  5. Yan should move up, because the move from high-A to AA is one of the toughest and it's time to see if he's a real prospect. Webster should stay in low A, maybe get a taste of high-A later in the year.
  6. I hope he gets it together. Harris gets a shot but I'm not yet sold as him as a starting CFer. Does anyone miss Lance Johnson?
  7. It's our right as host city to have as many all-stars as we can get. Remember how Seattle almost voted in David Bell when he was batting something like .260?
  8. I did say next week. That's nine games for us. Not out of the question.
  9. I don't mind 'em splitting time. Sandy will end up on the DL at some point this year. That's a given. Then we'll see what we have in Olivo.
  10. Not well, I'd guess. His OBP is great, otherwise, not so good. He's been on base three times without scoring at least four times this year. You can't blame him for that. Nothing short of a WS championship will satisfy most of the Manuel bashers.
  11. Manuel did what he had to do, not only to win the game but to save his job. We'll be in first place by the end of next week. Book it!
  12. KW and Manuel ultimately will be judged for this year's performance, because if the team doesn't make the playoffs they'll both be looking for work. At least Manuel will.
  13. That was the full implosion from Corwin that we didn't expect. Should we move him down to W-S for a couple of starts?
  14. Ten to fifteen is my vote. It's still early in the year, folks. . .
  15. While Malone struggles, other guys pass him by. He may be one of those talents who has to get into another organization before he finds his control. As it is, all of his rookie cards that I own are worth less than toilet paper.
  16. It's just so much fun to see the Twinks struggle. Maybe it has something to do with everyone giving them way too much love before the season started. Forget America's team. Find your own team.
  17. Gamboa's more of a merciful fella than I would be. That's all I'm going to say.
  18. The next big-ticket international player we sign will be our first. We might develop a guy (look at Yofu), but this is out of our range.
  19. It's a good test for us. We've been scratching in runs against weak teams, so let's keep it going against the better ones.
  20. I liked that we were one of the top teams in least runs allowed, but when looking at our runs scored I see why we need to be so stingy. Kong and Frank need to fully wake up. That is all.
  21. Sigh, I wish Atlanta had cows on parade. All we have is pine pollen and the occasional baby earthquake. . .
  22. All right people, make some noise tonight. I don't care what their record is, the Twins need it handed to them.
  23. If we're going to bring anyone up, it should be Harris. His numbers speak for themselves.
  24. I'm sure the guy will say that he's a Sox fan. Watch for a lot more cell phone incidents in the next couple of weeks.
  25. JM's not a fiery, yell-at-you type manager. Who do you guys want, Larry Bowa? If we were 9-12, I'd be all over the fire Jerry bandwagon. Jeez, give the guy a couple of months.
