  1. Keep Cotts in AA. If we need him, we can always call him up from there.
  2. Garland can be a successful pitcher in the majors, he's just not doing it. He could be a guy who will benefit from a change in scenery. I say give him a couple more starts.
  3. Drop Rowand for a couple of weeks and bring up Harris. Rios should still get some playing time. He's an OK guy but shouldn't be a starter.
  4. Somebody had to lose to the Tigers. We won't know what kind of team we have until we venture outside the division. No, the Orioles don't count.
  5. At the rate they're going, the Twins are going to get swept again. I do wonder how we'll fare against better teams. The schedule's been weak to date.

At least you guys started putting players on other teams on our White Sox team of the future. We're not going to have a team completely comprised of in-house guys. I think Frank plays two more years with the team. After that, I cannot say.
  7. The Yankees led the league in strikeouts last year. Strikeouts aren't considered as bad as they used to be, as long as the batter sees enough pitches to be effective later. Thanks for keeping the thread going. As for Loiaza, great signing so far. We need him a lot more than we thought.
  8. I've used yahoo for years and it's fine. They give you less free stuff each year, so enjoy it while you can.
  9. That's a pretty good site, but it only includes some of the players. Yep, I'm a big nitpicker.
  10. We're getting close to the end of month one of the season. I want to know how everyone feels about the team so far and what they expect of the team come October. I, for one, won't be satisfied without a serious push in the playoffs. That's at least getting to the ALCS.
  11. I know he threw out a couple of guys, so maybe no one's successfully stolen a base off him.
  12. I like our guy. Jimenez broke his neck and probably needed more than a year to properly recover. Comparing him to Soriano at this point is ridiculous. The trade from the Padres was a steal. Look for his numbers to dip, but to remain solid throughout the year.
  13. Probably got hurt posting on these boards.
  14. It's all about public perception. Considering how everyone rails on the stadium (outside of the true believers, of course), I'm surprised that it ranked that high.
  15. You guys don't realize what a master strategist Manuel is. For example, his making sure that Cleveland scores in every inning today. Genius! Getaway day for us is a throwaway.
  16. In the end, none of those guys (Travis Lee was another) worked out at all. I don't mind us not signing guys who end up to be flops (like Bobby Hill, so far).
  17. You'd see Chicago fans flock to the Sox if they won a World Series. Heck, after the Angels won, I'll bet half of the people who bought hats, etc., didn't even know the team existed six months earlier. Until then, it's just us die-hards in here. . .
  18. Aren't you supposed to trade a guy when his value is high?
  19. Thanks Hud. I just repeated what you posted on the World Crossing boards.
  20. I wouldn't mind Stewart going down to AAA if Wright's ready. That is, in a couple of weeks.
  21. From what I hear, Bullard asked to be put in the pen. May help him in the long run.
  22. Miles had a good spring, but he doesn't fit in our long-range plans. Some guys are just meant to be roster filler. He'll only get a shot if we have extensive injuries.

Frank's not going to beat anyone up. Have you ever seen him knock over a catcher on a close play at the plate? Enough said.
  24. That's so funny that the guy is a Cubs fan. I doubt that fact will make the Cubune or Baseball Tonight. That would prove that it's not a Sox fan who did the deed, but it still happened on our field. Let's play the game. We've had enough bad publicity.
  25. The thread's pretty much at a stopping point anyway. I'll move on.
