  1. I always like Hawk, he adds some fun to the game. So I guess it's 4 more years of "You can put it on the board, YES!!" Hopefully we can give him another world championship.
  2. I would probably go with 1. Cabrera ss 2. Swisher cf 3. Thome dh 4. PK 1b 5. Dye rf 6. Fields/Crede 3B 7. AJP c 8. Quentin lf 9. Richar 2b Although I would have a tough time deciding on either Fields or Crede at 3B.
  3. David Wells, he was nothing but trouble.
  4. I am so happy for him. I can still see him at old Payne Park in Sarasota, Florida during spring training of 1976. Congrat's Goose!!
  5. I like the sounds of this trade. Looks like KW got things in order with this one.
  6. Right now I think he is doing so so. One more year like we just went through then he should be run out of town.
  7. I'd possible take a chance on a one year deal with Prior, because of his injuries.
  8. I'm not ready to give up on Sweeney yet he's still young. We can't forget that when we traded Rowand we got Jim Thome and that gave us some extra power. Pitching is what got us to this point. IMO.
  9. Who would we get for Crede since he has a bad back?
  10. Why in the world would KW trade Garland and keep Contreras I will never know. Thanks for the 2005 World Series champion, Jon. We'll miss you.
  11. I hope he gets the Pirates job anything to get rid of him. I didn't like him a player and don't care for him as a coach.
  12. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 22, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) The White Sox. (This is Pale Hose Talk, right?) My thoughts exactly. I'm looking toward to the 2008 White Sox.
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 10:52 AM) Hahaha. Cubs fans are accusing Webb of having grease on his hat. No matter that he was wiping his sweat on the brim of his cap, he OBVIOUSLY was cheating. Also they are accusing the Dbacks ground crew of softening up the dirt in front of the plate to help his ground balls. Cub fans never cease to amaze me. They always find a way to come up with an excuse for losing. The Chicago Cubs, the symbol of baseball ineptness for 100 years!!
  14. I hope Cleveland wins the series. I hate the Yankees.
  15. Cubs lose, Cubs lose game 1!!! Let's see.. in the 1945 World Series Cub fans blamed the loss on the Curse of the billy goat, in 1969 when they lost the division title to the Mets, I believe a black cat ran on the field if I'm not mistaken. In the 2003 NLDS loss to Florida they blamed Bartman. Who will get the blame this year if they lose it, Bartman's brother. I hope the D-Back sweep the Flubs
  16. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 05:14 PM) Yeah. After all these years, Hawk Harrelson still hasn't learned. I thing I like about Hawk is his style of being a homer announcer. He adds fun the game. Given time I think Big Hurt would be a good announcer.
  17. There is some good info in there. It has me optimistic for next season. Thanks for posting.
  18. We are going to need help in the bullpen next season for sure also in starting pitching. I need to see what changes are made before first.
  19. I don't mean to be negative toward the Sox but I don't have much hope either for next season unless some major changes are made.
  20. Thank goodness this season is over. This whole season was a nightmare. Here's better for a better 2008.
  21. As much as I would like to see Bobby win the Cy Young, I just don't see a closer winning it.
  22. I am really happy for Thome that he got #500 and a game winner at that. One of the few highlights in a disappointing season.
  23. I suppose we should give KW one more year, one more year like this one then he should be run out of town.
  24. I can't blame Ozzie for this lousy season. It's not his fault that KW made some stupid trades.
