  1. Sigh, are they really gonna go through with Orton/Batista???
  2. It's gotta suck to be Batista right now, I feel bad for the guy....That said he's turrable, Del Rio carried him that whole match....He's gotta turn full on heel and not just be a guy who's just kinda there. Crowd would be hot if it's Bryan/Batista at mania.
  3. Got home just in time for Wyats Shield, which was awesome, of course.....Anything noteworthy happen before it?
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 07:55 AM) I work out pretty hard, to failure, and have never puked from it...I can't imagine doing this regularly is a very good idea. Yesterday was just a little "burp up".....These really are like sprints for your arms, only other time I felt as winded was when I was playing rugby doin suicides. Also should throw out that I'm up to 320, from 255-260 my last year of rugby (2 years ago)....So I really let myself go.
  5. Bobcats keep on winning. 4 in a row now, 8 of their last 11....Up to the 7 seed, 3 games up from the bottom 10. Buttt, their next 4 games are against the top 4 teams in the league.
  6. Anyone else here mess around with grappling ropes??? Did my lil workout again, tweaked it a lil bit...puked again....f***in intense! I'm in love.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 12:09 AM) I'd start Paulie or at least base it on, believe it or not, the performances of those 3 guys (Dunn, Paulie, Abreu) in spring training. There's no way the Sox should have Abreu, Dunn and Paulie all on the same team. I still say there's no scientific proof Paulie is going to be horses*** this year. I mean, what if he's healthy? We never get the true story on his health so he may still be banged up for all we know, but what if he's healthy? How do you know he won't have a Jeter-like comeback? There should be some hints in spring training if he's finished or not. If he blasts 5-10 ST homers what will you all say then?? It's stupid the Sox put themselves in this position. Dunn, Abreu and Paulie on the same team is a recipe for disaster. My preference of course would have been to dump Dunn somehow, someway. And before somebody says I'm trolling, I'm not the one who started this thread. Anybody who takes a positive Paulie stance is going to get reamed by the majority of people on this board. Paulie himself said he didn't wanna be a full time player. Perhaps you take that as him just "blowing smoke" but PK has always been a straight shooter so I don't see that way.
  8. If we're dreaming of a card where Batista doesn't get the main event spot I'm gonna throw this out there.... Punk vs Bryan(wins the title at EC)- Punk comes back as a corporate bad guy in Chicago. HHH Screws over Batista. Bray vs Taker- Capitalize on the potential awesomeness while Bray's still hot. Batista-HHH- Cuz HHH screwed Batista Shield triple threat for the US title- Just cuz Sheamus vs Orton vs Brock vs Cena- uhhh #1 contenders match? Ceasro vs Swagger- Obvious angle Goldy vs Cody- see above Big E vs Alexander Rusev- Usos vs Air Boom vs Outlaws vs Harper/Rowan Just threw s*** out there
  9. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Feb 20, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) At least you're getting at it! Better than most can say. Nice work. Keep it up and it will be a piece of cake in no time. And when that happens, what would be better(to do first at least)....Keep the same set up but increase the time, or do the squats/ropes/jj/ropes as a straight set then rest? I'm new to this HIIT stuff.
  10. Lol, there's a log jam in the OF too. Keep it simple Robin, Dunn vs RHP and PK vs LHP.
  11. I still want John Jaso damnit. C'mon A's, your fans like Vogt and yous guys like Norris.
  12. Just puked after a 25 min routine that I thought was gonna be cake. 20 sec squats 20 sec rest 20 sec battling ropes (waves) 20 sec rest 20 sec jumping jacks 20 sec rest 20 sec ropes (waves) 40 sec rest 20 sec squats 20 sec rest 20 sec ropes (hip toss) 20 sec rest 20 sec JJ 20 sec rest 20 sec ropes (hip toss) 40 sec rest 20 sec squats 20 sec rest 20 sec ropes (inside waves) 20 sec rest 20 sec JJ 20 sec rest 20 sec ropes (inside waves) 60 sec rest x3 My god was that hell for what minimal work I did.
  13. Bobcats acquired Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour for Sessions..
  14. I've got perhaps a dumb question about Cutlers contract. After the Bears pay Jay his 54M guaranteed he can be cut with no cap ramifications. So if they plan on keeping him for 5 years couldn't they theoretically make his cap hit 10.8M every year(if need be) then cut him before the number gets ridiculous?
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 05:56 PM) I love Paulino too, but the injury concerns are very real and worth mentioning. If he stays healthy, it could be a very good move. Which is precisely why I mentioned it
  16. Assuming he stays healthy, I really think the Paulino move will be considered one of the best moves of the offseason. I just love his stuff and think Coop will get the best out of him.
  17. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 03:53 PM) So Paulino is blocking Rienzo. Who would have though that? Seriously though, they should groom Rienzo as a set up guy. What's your point?
  18. QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) Is there any chance that Rienzo could make it as our long man? It's possible. I don't know what the Knights rotation will looks like but if there's a spot for him, I prefer to see him there. He was a boss his last 9 starts there and I prefer he stays stretched out and ready should an injury happen.
  19. No surprise here. I will keep throwin this out there until people start to realize that Paulino has the chance to be a really good starter.... Sans 1 bad start, he has a 3.40 era over his last 153 innings as a starter. If he stays healthy it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he puts up #3 type numbers. He, not the draft pick, not the money, not the commitment, or not because Ervin Santana is a bit shakey, is the main reason I would avoid Ervin.
  20. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 12:44 PM) Kiley McDaniel's updated draft rankings broken into tiers. Interesting. http://sbb.scout.com/2/1376626.html QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 02:13 PM) Let's discuss people we can take with the Ervin Santana pick. As I've stated before, I like Jakson Reetz the high school catcher. According to Kiley McDaniel Jacob Gatewood could be there with the "Ervin Santana" pick.....Another catcher on the list dirty posted, Evan Skoug looks pretty interesting as well. Left handed, local kid, said to have a real good bat with good power, but isn't great defensively. If they got one of Gatewood, Reetz, or Skoug in the 2nd I'd be a happy panda.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 02:11 PM) Just to note, Chris Sale + Jose Quintana last year was one of the better 1-2 starting pitching combinations in baseball. Ya, Q was really good. Among qualified SPs he had the 17th lowest ERA, his WAR was 6th among SPs. He's a #2 starter. Furthermore I believe both Danks and EJ can put up #3 type numbers. Then there's Paulino, who over his last 150 innings as a SP has an ERA in the 3s. Beck and/or Bassit have what it takes to make the rotation as early as mid season this year. Pitching is not the problem, it's the positional players.
  22. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 01:41 PM) This. Keep your draft pick, overspend on the draft/international markets, and put the $35m+ toward a better player when you're closer to contending This. Sox probably aren't going to compete this year with or without Ervin Santana, and they've shown the ability to develop pitching. So next year, assuming Paulino doesn't succeed(which I think he can), there's a good chance a guy like Beck or Bassit comes along and is the next EJ. So then ya got Sale-Q-EJ-Danks-Beck/Bassit/Paulino, and you also have boatloads of money to fill whatever offensive holes they may have.
