Rusev looks like he can be something....Haven't watched NXT in awhile, have only heard about him, so he was a pleasant surprise.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 26, 2014 -> 11:03 PM) In 2014, apparently the fans decide who the face and the heel is. And it seems like Daniel Bryan or bust for them The Roman Reigns chant both confirms and denies this post lol.

Turrable, just turrable. I'm hoping they work some kind of angle where Lesnar, who want's a shot at the belt as well, hurts Batista and they either give him the shot(I know he's somewhat in the same boat as Batista, but at least he's over) or it happens before EC and they give the winner the title shot. Mick Foley @realmickfoley Does @wwe actually hate their own audience? I've never been so disgusted with a PPV.

I'm sure it's been answered a hundred times here, but is it possible to have Rose, Melo, Taj, and Noah?

Grab a SP now
IF Hahn feels the need for another starter (I personally like the idea of a Paulino/Surkamp/Reinzo battle), I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Scott Baker. Don't think he's tagged with a 2R pick right?

Grab a SP now
FWIW.... That was about a month ago. There's also this to throw out there.... I love the idea of Johan, but if anything, the Sox need a guy for the first half while a guy like Beck pushes his way up....It also eliminates the whole "Sign him so we can trade him" idea. (All info from rotoworld)

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 09:04 AM) Barring injury, Homer Bailey will be out of their price range. They're not going to outspend the usual suspects when it comes to the top of the free agent market. You don't actually believe this do you? IF the Sox target a SP, which I'm not so sure they will, they will without question have the money to do so. Did you miss the whole Tanaka saga where they were in it till the end on a player who just got the 5th richest contract among SPs ever? Dunn will also be off the books next year giving the Sox even more money to play with. I'm a firm believer in the Sox ability to develop pitching though and I see Beck and/or Bassit making it into next years rotation, and I also think Danks will bounce back this year. Sale-Q-Johnson-Danks-Beck/Bassit will be more than solid IMO. Spend big on a replacement for Dunn(Whether that be a DH or a LF with Dayan moving to DH) next year if they wanna spend big money.

Man I had a lame "no Gay Cousins, no problem" comment already typed up then PG hit a 3 and got fouled to tie the game. Real entertaining game goin on in Sacramento. No Rudy Gay, no Demarcus Cousins and they're hangin with the Pacers. They Marcus Thornton of old has shown up, and this Isaiah Thomas fellow is a baller.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 12:39 AM) the guy was a terrible d-line coach at Miami. The only thing he could do was "recruit". It's amazing how Louisville didnt catch any sanctions with him there because to get all those south Florida kids to Louisville he had to have been very shady. I can't touch on his other years at Miami, but....The 2006 Hurricanes' defense set a school record for allowing the fewest rushing yards in a season -- 67.9 yards per game, breaking the previous mark of 69.1 yards per game set in 1989....So there's that...

Probably gonna see at least 1 NXT guy. Hoping it's Zane but it will probably be Dallas again.

It is my understanding that Paul Pasquanelli will be the Bears DL coach(he was previously thought to be LB coach), and Reggie Herring will be the Bears LBs coach. All their experience at the NFL level have been in 3-4 defenses.

Am I the only guy here who is finding great joy in watching Senior Bowl drills? I don't care how short he is, Aaron Donald (all 6 feet of him) is gonna be a beast in the NFL. I'm all in on the Bears trying to trade down and taking him with their first pick(if they don't bring back Melton or another 3T DT).

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 10:16 PM) Rudy Gay is ballin' in Sacto. That's a nice squad if they learn defense. Agreed. I know the West is tough but I'd be kinda surprised if they didn't make it out of the bottom 12(meaning the Bulls get their pick). Esp with Landry coming back What happened to Marcus Thornton though??? For a few years he was one of the better scorers in the league.

Non-Roster Invites
When'd they get this Robles fellow? He looks really intriguing. His wiki says he can get it up there at 97 and his change is considered a plus pitch by some.

Rosenthal: Tanaka to Yankees
QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) At this point, I don't want the Sox to get him. 20 million for someone that a month ago no one predicted as anything higher than a #2 starter is ridiculous. With Sale being paid no where near what an ace would make I don't mind over paying for a guy like this.

Wasn't part of the plan when they signed Kirk was to play him at SG next to Rose? If they really thought that then Teague made some sense.

The score is reporting that the Bears have hired Paul Pasqualoni as their LB coach. All 5 years(3 years as a DC) he was in the NFL his teams ran a 3-4. He spent the last 3 years at UConn where, looking at film of Sio Moore and Yawin Smallwood, he ran a bit of a hybrid. He is said to be a good teacher, and that bodes well for a team that just drafted 2 LBs, and it wouldn't shock me to see a 3rd drafted this year....Perhaps the previously mentioned Smallwood in the 2R.- Official Squared Circle Thread
Brian is gonna get on me for markin so hard but oh well.... It's gonna be tough to top that Raw (sans the Cenas dad gimmick)....Crowd was so geeked. I think the quick heel turn was executed brilliantly. Crowd still loved him, so they were just dying to cheer for him again. Wyatt/Bryan at the Rumble or Mania is gonna be huge. I also wanna give some cred to a team that gets no cred around here....The Usos are fantastic. Maybe, as a former rugby player, its the haka that draws me in but man those 2 can go in the ring. Also, good call Row.- Expectations: Jose Abreu
I'll say he matches what Cespedes did he first year only in more games (Cespedes played 129 games, I'll say Abreu plays in the 140s).... .290/.355/.505 25-30 HRs 90-100 RBI 120-140 Ks. I'll also add that he'll be clutch as funk.- NBA Thread 2013-2014
QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 09:44 AM) If the FO is "doing everything they can to get a top 5 pick" they are waiting for the lottery to end and offering Joakim Noah for one of those picks The problem there might be who's gonna pay for Noah when they can draft Embiid who has the potential to be better than Noah. On another note, Sac-town has won 3 in a row, including a win against Portland and then out scoring Orlando and Cleveland by 64 points. On a sad side note, the Bobcats have lost 3 in a row and are currently in the bottom 10. Both teams are just a game or less behind Brooklyn for the 11th spot though. Me thinks the Kings have a better shot finishing outside the bottom 10, but I'm still holding out hope that both do. - 2013-2014 NFL Thread
