ATM system called unsafe
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) If it cost them money to prevent it...I wouldn't be so sure. Anyway, I guess it's probably going to be left up to me to point out that many of the same companies who design and build and sell these ATM systems are the same companies who are designing and building and selling the electronic voting machines that many places are now using. You're exactly right, Diebold being one of them. They do a range of security services for banks from Vaults and locks to ATM Machines.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) Agreed. I just started playing a couple of months ago at the behest of some friends who have been playing for over a year. Normally I'm a sports, some WWII shooters, SimCity, Civilization, etc etc type gamer. I have played the Warcraft series since battlenet a decade ago (still a classic). I found WoW to be great at the beginning because of the ridiculous size of the world you can play in. But the usualy complaints I agree with: repetitive, not a lot as much reward for the time spent playing, etc. I'm only up to level 28 and I hear it slows down even more after level 30. I think the key is to not burn yourself out right away. Play a couple hours every couple of days and you'll be fine. The first couple days I had the game I spent entire Saturday and Sunday mornings/afternoons running around (great to play while bball/football is on in the background). I got burned out pretty quick and ended up not playing for a couple weeks. The key is to get some friends to play with and then it becomes more social. I have a few friends I don't get to talk to as much because they live throughout the states, but we can get together and run through some quests and chat while we do it. Anyone play Medieval II: Total War? I'm thinking about getting that but have never played any of the Total War games. I totally agree. I actually stop my subscription for every few months and take a break. I love Civ IV by the way.

Heroes Thread
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 08:41 AM) Funny you say that. Do you remember that he was Franklyn on Scrubs? Supposedly he'll be in a mid-season episode, where they play off his powers in Heroes. And yes, I know, I'm stupidly obsessed with Scrubs. Franklyn is great. Scurbs is great. you're not alone with your obsession.

Heroes Thread
my guess is the black guy or the painter. peter has been a main focus since the beginning. same with the cheerleader hiro is the only likable character on the show the stripper hasn't really done anything yet....except potentially kill the black guy.

The Kickass Presidential Fundraiser.
QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 07:37 AM) Thank you Rex, we do Kickass together, just remember to have everyone vote for me so we can. I don't think I would have gone with this color scheme. The red on a barney purple background wouldn't be easy enough for the seniors to read. bea arthur gets a migraine....right about.............NOW

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 08:22 AM) Much of the gameplay in WoW is so tedious and repetitive that some people find it easier to just pay real dollars to other people to get in-game gold, items, or stronger characters. it can be tedious.... it doesn't have to be, but it often does.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 07:55 AM) My son was just telling me someone offered him cash for his gold. Amazing. I could see this concept morphing into a gambling site with a little effort. In Game Gold Buyer and Seller not that I advocate this, but I've heard sites like this are good. I might write a book one day called "If I bought powerleveling, this is how I'd do it"

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) Yeah. Well, no. My girlfriend loves it. I have a friend whose Lover works for Blizzard, though, and I got my girlfriend a beta copy of the Expansion Pack so she got to be a tester! And play in advance! ah...so hook ups if I vote for you?

The Official [SCRUBS] Thread
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 11:04 PM) Are you watching it on the internet, or did you just not like the episode? I'm used to watching the show without commercials, so much that I've watched all 5 seasons without commericals. It's really hard to get into when it's broken up into segments. to better answer your question, I don't know how I feel about the episode...I'll let you know when I download it. Scrubs typically has really great season openers and terrible season enders.

The Official [SCRUBS] Thread
I can't see it working with out JD, but I can see it working. I hate when actors ditch a show...Braff doesn't have a lot going on without this show. "the last kiss" was mediocre at best. I think he's in the George Clooney category of not being permanently cast as the guy from that medical show. He's got a ton of time. Stick with the show and then call it quits when everyone else leaves.
