White Sox vs. Royals, 5/12/07 (W)
QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 12, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) I couldn't help but laugh when he said that. Elarton was suppose to be on the DL for an extra week but they decided to let him pitch against us. Pitching against us = Rehab assignment

Ricky Williams fails another drug test
I'm stunned-also heard he tested post-menopausal

Guillen leans toward demoting Sweeney
Sweeney has provided a spark-somewhat similar to the addition on Julio Cruz in 1983-the team has been better with him here. Only Guillen would disrupt things by sending him down. Judy Baar Topinka er.......Ozzie Guillen-Whats he thinking? By the way-does anyone miss Anderson?

Thats a dont walk him loser
QUOTE(RX Bandits @ May 8, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) here we go again. I really wish people would hold PLAYERS accountable for their performance, not the manager accountable for the players performance. I am interested in who you want pitching the 8th? Bad instructions and pitching assignments are not products of the players

Thats a dont walk him loser
Getting tired of bad managing

Tevez rules-but West Ham is really a pretty good team. They waited a bit too long to get Tevez really comfortable & involved. Blow Those Bubbles

The Greg Walker Lynch mob thread
Put Rogo back on 40 and let him hit-cant dispute the time he has spent in system and hit decently enuf to get a look. He can spell Konerko until he gets his head out of his ass and starts hitting.

Bears TE Greg Olsen and the 7th Floor Crew
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:49 AM) How is this any worse than any random rap song? Is there the same outrage over Beason's role in the recording or do people in Carolina just not care? Just curious. The voice of reason-I believe another drafted player was in that group too-

The Greg Walker Lynch mob thread
Something that should have been done in the offseason needs to be done now. Wake up front office. Someone tell Williams the meter is running and there is no indication things are changing. Firing hitting coach wont put a threat in the line up. Fill in players like Mack, Osuna Terrero and Cintron just arent every day players.

Anderson sent down to AAA
Its good to see the scouting department finally get called out in numbers. They are lousy. Same for minor league instructors. Our only fundamentally sound players are from other teams.
-
Rogowski removed from 40 man
I actually was impressed with Gonzalez patience at the plate last night. Not that he should be kept-but we gotta take walks when they are offered. Anderson wont do that. I think Owens will be the guy.
-
Wow, that was pathetic
We certainly cant confuse Anderson with depth any more. The fact that he was a desperation DH while Mack & Osuna are playing defense speaks volumes. He simply cant hit-he certainly has not responded to Greg Walker and has lost all confidence as a player.

Erstad/Anderson MEGAThread
At the game I was surprised Mack was still in LF with a no no going in the 7th. I can only think BA was in left because of Mark being left handed against mostly right handed hitting. For that ONLY, I give Ozzie benefit of doubt on that strange move

Sox Talk
Really, thats all "Sports talk" has become-hosts entertaining themselves with awful doublemeaning and unfunny anecdotes. Thats why this site is different and important. You can have discussions of issues and get the input of many without endless commercials , unrelated chatter and calls screened to what the hosts deem a worthy comment. I bailed on sports radio long ago and thanks to Soxtalk, I am as informed as ever.

MARK BUEHRLE HAS PITCHED A NO-HITTER!
Well, I was at Billy Pierce's 8 2/3 perfect game when I was about 8 years old-after that near miss, thought I'd never see a no no-UNTIL TONIGHT It was 90 degrees in right field where I was sitting. Not having been to a post season game in 2005-this was my greatest thrill at a game-and when we got to 2 outs, based on the 50 year old experience I had, I was a wreck.

Why is Brian Anderson on 25 man roster?
To play in the vaunted 3rd game of series lineup

White Sox vs. A's, 4/11/07 (W)
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 08:10 AM) I really wish Ozzie would, just once, take a look at Iguchi's L/R split numbers. Just once. Me too-he's so much better against RHP.
