Today was the day to bring in Brandon after 5 to stretch him out a bit-finish the game-instead, the game is really finished.
-
I cant believe he sent Buehrle out again-there's an off day tomorrow-let some guys pitch
-
QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) remember how Don't Stop Believin' was our song last year? Can we use "Suicide is Painless" for this season? Good Call-
-
for all the bashing about Freddy & vasquez, Buehrle is the worst we have-and its for an extended time-his arm is just a well cooked noodle
-
Buehrle nothing more than a Batting Practice pitcher right now-he should be DL'd-something HAS to be wrong
-
Went out to get lunch, come back, and we are losing. Left hander up next-grooves one to a guy that kills us
-
Down already

This is dragging on-usually not a good sign

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) Five bucks says this turns into nothing. If Dusty Baker said it, you would be probably right -
Think about it-TOO MUCH of last years team is not with them-role players- They were replaced by better 'players" but not "role players' I feared this before the season, but we were doing well-but it has caught up with this team. Apparently guys like Rowand, Blum, Harris, El Duque, were more part of the whole process than I gave them credit for. Just too much turnover from last year.
-
This team has 3 outfielders-one of which hits .200, this team needs a legit outfielder with good OBP-we have enough home runs-when was last time we had 4 straight base hits?
-
I am amazed at the fans in the park this year-obviously some band wagon fans booing and criticizing. The effort is there from the team, its decisions that are hurting. I would not boo unless someone didnt hustle, and I have not seen that. This team is Home Run crazy. Try watching the Twins in BP-purposly hitting grounders & line drives-few fly outs and few home runs-of course we are not allowed in to see Sox BP, but I would bet its different.

The best lead off man in history, Rickey Henderson, hit many lead off homers

QUOTE(Hanger @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 12:15 PM) Agreed with you there on a bad defensive outfield....the more and more this is going on, the more unlikely it seems the Sox will acquire Soriano, when you break the lineup down like has been done on this thread, it doesnt really make for a good fit. Especially if trying to hang onto BMac, and Anderson. I think it would have been done by now UNLESS there is a new agreement being worked on.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) Ozzie is managing the same way he did last year. He's going to do some ridiculous things but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt after 2005. We've had a number of players underachieving, or just simply playing like spiff, so I'm going to put the blame on them. Thats the problem-he's managing like last year-except this is not last year

This loss just makes it a more desperate move-
-
You just feel we are gonna lose-even with that big break on the call-and if I do, the players on the field probably do too
-
He should be told 5 innings is all you get-then you are out-unless we are ahead 54-0
-
All I know is that it was the best interview of Kenny on radio this year-Thumbs up to Bruce Levine & Carmen Defalco for an information filled interview. I came away convinced that something major was going to happen
-
I was there last night-even though it was full-little energy in the crowd-the 5 run inning just sucked the life out of the rest of us-its like most fans have accepted this-maybe the players have too-resigned to the fate of no repeat
-
Ozuna has become a journeyman again, WE NEED A REAL OUTFIELD The manager has got to bat JD 3rd against lefties and Thome 5 th, Crede 6th and AJ 7th- And you would think with all the left handers they have faced recently, (I didnt know there were this many out there) they would be hitting better against them.
-
I have thought this all along-having lived thru both teams.
-
He's hitting with no one on, leading of innings-one of few that is hitting-(we have come full circle)
-
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) Not to be a contrarian here but don't you usually bench some of your A guys when a day game follows a night game? Tigers didnt-we have had a 4 day All STar Break AND Monday off-they should have played today

Read this BEFORE jumping to conclusions

The manager has got to get Thome out of 3 spot against lefties-until he pokes a few into left, which is better than ground outs to right field, JD goes to 3rd IMO
