  1. Grossman is fundamentally unsound because of his mechanics.
  2. Nobody comes into his house and doesn't bring Diet Pepsi.
  3. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) He fell down trying to get away from McFarland who was in the backfield about 1 second after the snap and about to clobber him anyway. The other time he fell down it was on one of the botched snaps. I love how you make it seem like he just fell during a routine handoff or something. There's absolutely no reason for him to be falling over himself. Two flukes, right? I remember Grossman dropping snaps a couple of times throughout the year. I can remember a few times he tripped over himself. He's short and slow. He's fundamentally unsound.
  4. Poor journalism, IMO. From the article: From the NYTimes: This isn't disarmament at all nor is it really a first step toward it. It's some progress, with promises of less trouble in the future by shutting down their reactors and such, but it doesn't take away from their present weapons or supplies and so it's very misleading the way this is being talked about.
  5. Don't forget that he fell down twice, too. I can't believe those counted as sacks!
  6. I used to stand all the time in gradeschool. No problem at all. I stand for it at public events and all that at my current school. Except in the morning because we never hear it because we're in the barn taking care of the animals (new cow's being born!).
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 02:31 PM) Everytime this guys pitches against the sox they should check him for the foreign substance. I doubt they will. Forgive me the bold assertion but I've always been under the impression that Buehrle uses pinetar because he's said so. Of course he cleaned it up a little and said, "If I get some on my hands, I don't wipe it off," instead of outright saying "I use it" but he also said, "Hitters get to use it; why can't we?" so I doubt that Guillen would like to put his own pitchers through scrutiny, which was essentially why LaRussa didn't challenge it. Besides that, it's generally accepted that you don't challenge that kind of thing. That's why Frank Robinson was going to kill Mike Scoscia.

Stand and Deliver might be old, and a dramatization, but it is damn good.
  9. I thought so. See, often, people like FFVII best because it was their first game. That's always been my impression, anyway -- no disrespect intended. I've just always thought it was an okay game, just okay, but that people liked it best because it was their first.

  11. It does have a huge slant to it -- it's Townhall. To clarify my earlier comment: I did a little more reading into Theron and her ultraultraliberalism in conjunction with her comments about Cuba/USA are what I think obnoxious.
  12. Josh Paul lost his arbitration case. http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/baseb...lrays-paul.html As Jim at SoxMachine put it -- "the guy can't catch a break."
  13. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 11, 2007 -> 01:40 AM) Final Fantasy 7 might very well be the best game ever made. Was it the first FF you ever played?
  14. Carlos has a weight clause?
  15. But I prefer milk. Just about any milk, except skim milk.
  16. I drink coffee cream.
  17. I go to school on a farm. I love the cows. We've got one with horns -- she's grumpy and aggressive. Well, we used to. She got sent away. She lifted me into the air from between my legs. Didn't catch me with her horns, not there, but it wasn't fun to have a horn in my thigh and buttcheek. I've wrestled her a couple of times when she was charging around and thrasing. Just took her by the horns and settled her down. I actually considered going to College somewhere with a rodeo team but decided against it. Real fun stuff, though.

I've gained twenty pounds in the last two months. Mainly muscle. I'm quite happy with my workout regimen. Good luck to ya, Rex!
  19. No, not at all, I didn't take it that way. I'm actually pretty surprised that any columnist would still be devoting time to asking questions about it or running it. I just thought that it was notable because it was so weird.
  20. Yeah, but you're in Iowa, dude. Just tip a cow and drink away.
  21. I can't even begin to believe that the White Sox will sign Cabrera or even make a serious run at him. Not at all.
  22. I'd never heard that one before.
  23. The Prior saga is like a huge satire. A huge farce. From Phil Rogers: Huh.
  24. I love Draw the Line. Kings and Queens! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9zAK8Cmr84
