  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) That 1.22 OPS is decent...think we can get him for Crede? Let's give them Thome back, and Richar. Throw in Floyd.
  2. That "Daggummit!" call by Harrelson is the absolute worst thing I have ever heard in my life.
  3. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/worl...icle3854921.ece It gets worse.

  5. Did Hawk say "b**** and moan" about the player's union at one point?
  6. I'm sure Ric Flair would have something similar to say about HHH, to what I just said.
  7. I am not going to express an opinion over whether or not I know more about wrestling than anyone in this thread. If everyone here disagrees with my contention that Hunter is every bit as great as Flair was -- well, that is not proof of anything, and certainly not that people are more "knowledgeable" than I, or better able to judge. If everyone agreed with me, that wouldn't mean anything either. Are you really trying to turn this into a "What do you know?" "discussion"? I know that I know a great deal about wrestling, history and context, and I don't feel I have anything to prove. Like Triple H.
  8. I won't get into an argument about whether or not someone knows more about wrestling than I do. That's an argument that is not worth having. I would claim that I am sure I know more about wrestling than plenty of people, too, and leave it at that.
  9. I've been watching wrestling since 1997, thanks. And it is chic to rip Hunter on the Internet. Instead of there being this mini-controversy because I argue that Hunter is about as great as Flair, there should be a controversy over people saying he isn't. HHH didn't get to be where he is by screwing the boss' daughter -- he's gotten to where he is by being a great wrestler, overall. Sure, there are politics, but it's hilarious to hear people rip his politics while arguing that Flair's are better. Like Flair never played politics.
  10. I don't put my whole heart into the proclamation, but I stand by the assertion that HHH is a great professional wrestler in the same mold as Ric Flair. I know it's chic to tear him apart as a man who has only gotten where he is because of politics but I don't think that's true.
  11. Bonds, of course, has all sorts of demons out in the public. I can't imagine what he's been able to keep private by refusing to talk about it!
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:09 AM) I think what we have here is someone trying to make a career comeback trying to get her name in the news. That may be , and likely is true, but that is not mutually exclusive with this story being true, either.
  13. Both of my posts have excerpts from here: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball...ar_fling_w.html
  14. I saw a woman completely smashed during a day-game in 2006, and she was wasted before the fifth inning. Worse, it was a Buehrle start, so you know it was a quick ways to the fifth.
  15. From the NYDN article: Clemens is the stupidest man in baseball for filing his suit and insisting that he be allowed to testify in front of Congress.

  17. Forte doesn't seem like a wise choice. A RB, and an undistinguished one, when this team has so many problems?
  18. I very much want to watch Gavin Floyd take on the New York Yankees.
