Giolito OP

The easy counter to this is sign all non boras picks and go to him and his client with your remaining bonus pool that is near slot.
-
Colome should bring back a back half top 100 prospect due to his results and contract.
-
or everyone saying Singer was going 1-1 just about till the deadline last year.
-
MRW some of the talking heads are now saying Adley may fall some quick rosterbation late 2020 Robert - CF Moncada# - 3B Jimenez - DH Collins* - 1B Anderson - SS Rutschman# - C Castellanos - LF Gonzalez* - RF Madrigal - 2B
-
At this point any of the 4 would look great in our system. My personal preference is Rutschman, Vaughn, Abrams, Witt in that order
-
With their current situation and Collins likely going to 1B because of concusions and inability to be full time; likely a similar situation to Schwarber and the sox propensity to draft college, yes i believe they take Adley or Abrams.
-
I firmly think Adley falls to the sox. Os go get Vaughn under slot and then look to sign Leiter or Volpe with their overage and KC goes hard on Witt.
-
I've said all along I think Rutschman falls to the sox by way of prospect fatigue and Baltimore's new GM making his mark on his first draft, Either with Vaughn or Witt and scooping up a supremely talented HS like Leiter's kid.
-
Id love for the sox to scoop up all the unsigned Cubans from the '18 class (Yolbert Sanchez & Yeiner Cano) as well as Yiddi Cappe from this class and the recently announced Raico Santos, thatd be a nice boon for the org. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Maximo Acosta as well.
-
I want to believe DH - Jimenez C - Rutschman# 1B - Collins* 2B - Madrigal SS - Anderson 3B - Moncada# LF - Gonzalez* CF - Robert RF - Basabe# C - McCann IF - Sanchez# UT - Garcia# OF - Cordell
-
I could see it happening based on the state of this draft class.
-
A month out from the draft I've put myself firmly in the camp the sox will draft the best college bat available to them. So with the following two picks I think this fits their MO provided these players are available. LHP Erik Miller @ 45 (stanford) RHP Ryne Nelson @ 81 (oregon) I would be elated if they could draft the ducks battery.
-
Agreed, I wouldn't risk anything like that with the amount of picks and pool size of the dbacks in addition to what the O's and KC will likely do. I think for the Sox its Rutschman, Vaughn & Bleday in that order

4/30 Games - Zangari is Back in Kanny / #ceaseday

I think the good, better and best scenario for Madrigal is something like this; Good - Kolten Wong Better - Placido Polanco Best - Dustin Pedroia any one of those results would be great. -
My expectation is that both of the Luis' make it to the bigs in some capacity.
-
Also while on the subject of the AA outfield for as crappy as Gonzalez's line looks, hes maintained his discipline and is nearly 100 points below his career BABIP. I look forward to him getting acclimated and doing what he does; additionally he could spend all this year and half of next year at AA and still make the bigs at 24. Its good to see how some of these prospects deal with adversity and this is coming from someone who called the sox drafting Luis, 2 years ago.
-
If he destroys AA send him to the show after the ASB or trade deadline, let him face his challenges at the major league level and get acclimated.

Great post, to me he is Alexei reincarnated, with more swag. and 30/30 would make him a 5 tool talent, hes on pace for 34 HR and 68 bags. -

Don't forget picking up Jones' option and Guyer at AAA -
Witt Jr is talented but even Correa took 4 years to make the show. I'd put Witt on the same level as Rodgers and hes at 5 years and counting.
-
Seen the FG's first mock I think Mike Evans whos been around a successful rebuild knows all too well their window doesn't line up with an above average catcher. I think they go Witt or Abarms #1 spread their pool around on any high school talents that fall and senior signs they can pick up cheaply, to start providing depth and layers of talent. As for KC, based off their system I don't see them in on Rutschman or Vaughn for similar reasons to the Os and also because that is a point of strength across multiple levels in their org is catching and their '17 number 1 overall pick was Protto a first basemen. To me based on their history they're more likely to take Witt, Abrams or Greene followed by Lodolo or Manoah, then either Rutschman or Vaughn.

Yes going to need 1-3 "non prospects" or prospects with former "pedigrees" to come out of no where. If Cordell, Banuelos and the Ghost of Carson Fulmer create that holy trinity so be it.
-
Outside of Waters, not a single one of those prospects is in the top 150 and all are 17-18 with none above A ball or 45 FV? if anything its a conservative estimate.
