FS Podcast: JJ Cooper of Baseball America on the ChiSox system
I agree it was a sobering podcast but this system has had more than its fair share of injuries and set backs with its most acclaimed prospects. I think the good better best scenario for Madrigal is something like this: David Eckstein, Howie Kendrick & Dustin Pedroia

Machado signs with Padres 10/300
So no Boras clients work for teams that don't have Boras clients? have you looked at the red sox or yankees or really any other team in the league?

The other penalties are the draft pick status and their revenue sharing pool share.

Machado signs with Padres 10/300
exactly, they'll be taxed on the front end and on their percentage of revenue sharing pool allotment.

- Sox Sign Jon Jay; 1 year/$4 mil, Charlie Tilson DFA'd
to balance the line up, even with Eloy's pedigree there is no way they're going to break him in in the top half and put that pressure on him, Anderson at 9th is fine. What would your lineup look like?- Sox Sign Jon Jay; 1 year/$4 mil, Charlie Tilson DFA'd
If we land Manny I could see this line up could see a lineup like this 2B Moncada# CF Jay* 3B Machado DH Abreu 1B Alonso* RF Jimenez LF Palka* C Castillo SS Anderson- Sox Sign Jon Jay; 1 year/$4 mil, Charlie Tilson DFA'd
I'm ok with this, its on a similar level to trading for dyson. hopefully he can return to form- Sox Sign Kelvin Herrera; 2 years/$18 mil, 3rd yr club option; Clarkin DFA
Agreed, I'd like to see Ottavino signed as well but i agree there are some question marks as it currently stands with that pen but there is also some interesting minor league depth in Burr, Hamilton, Burdi, Bañuelos & Stephens- Sox Sign Kelvin Herrera; 2 years/$18 mil, 3rd yr club option; Clarkin DFA
so our pen isn't complete dog crap nice CL - Colome SU - Herrera SU - Fry* MR - Jones MR - Bummer* LO - Frare* LR - Covey with Burr and Hamilton riding between AAA and the show- Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
I find it hard to believe the nats are just going to jump back in when they've got three OFs who all project to be above average in Soto, Robles and Eaton- Sox have 4 prospects who threw 100mph

thank you- Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
I think its great, just further proves that Boras miscalulated and is likely over extended. Washington doesn't need Harper. Robles & Eaton are both projected for 2.5 fWAR and Soto is 4.5 fWAR- Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
To land Ray, Dyson and Bradley it will take reasonable package. Ray has 2 years of control left and is projected for 6M this year and lets just double that for his last year at 12 so 18M, hes projected for 3.2 fWAR so just keep that consistant and his surplus value is roughly 40Mish, Dyson is owed 3.5M and is projected for 1.8 fWAR so his surplus value is 12.7M and is a FA after '19 and Bradley has three years of control left and is projected to make 2M in ARB1 and projected for 1.1 fWAR, likely 20Mish in surplus value. So all told 72M in surplus value. So something like Dunning + Basabe + Adolfo + Palka & Fulmer as throw ins- Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
I agree with that line up but i could see Moncada in CF as well and Madrigal at 2B If the sox do land Machado and Harper I would love to see them make a move for Ray, Dyson and Bradley from AZ 2019 25 man could look like this DH - Abreu C - Castillo 1B - Alonso* 2B - Moncada# SS - Anderson 3B - Machado LF - Jimenez CF - Dyson* RF - Harper* C - McCann MI - Rondon IF - Sanchez# UT - Garcia# SP - Rodon* SP - Ray* SP - Lopez SP - Nova SP - Giolito CL - Colome SU - Fry* SU - Bradley MR - Jones MR - Bummer* LO - Frare* LR - Covey- Prospect Live Sox top 30 podcast
where exactly is the podcast link?- Offseason plan in the event the Sox don't get HarpChado
Florial's value by fangraph's account is roughly $26M. Ellsbury is owed 47.2M, Frazier has health question marks due to his concussion hes a former 55FV I personally put his value around 21M. This doesn't even take into account the added tax value elevation for the yankees by moving an AAV of nearly 22M dropping their current payroll from 192 to 170ish before adding Yonder and Manny's respective contracts. The yankees would have roughly 36M before the new tax threshold of 206.- Offseason plan in the event the Sox don't get HarpChado
Whats not to get if they're missing out on Harper and Machado and Manny signs with the yankees, might as well ship Yonder over to the yankees take on the majority of Ellsbury's contract and get two good looking young OF prospects for the dead money owed on Jacoby's contract.- Offseason plan in the event the Sox don't get HarpChado
If the sox don't land Harpchado I'd like to see these moves happen. Abreu to TB for 2B Vidal Brujan# + LHP Resly Linares* Alonso to NYY for OF Jacoby Ellsbury*(+8M) + OF Clint Frazier + OF Estevan Florial* Castillo & Jones to COL for 1B Grant Lavigne* + LHP Breiling Eusebio* Hold Colome & Nova till mid season DH - Palka* C - McCann 1B - Delmonico* 2B - Sanchez# SS - Anderson 3B - Moncada# LF - Frazier CF - Garcia# RF - Jimenez- Sox interested in Encarnacion per Morosi
No based off his contract and buy out he is under water about 9M.- Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
Because even with our glut, adding more talent that is equal in terms of value for his contract isn't a bad thing and they can always be shipped off in another deal. - Sox Sign Jon Jay; 1 year/$4 mil, Charlie Tilson DFA'd
