QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 03:08 PM) Dont lock a dog in the bathroom, all it takes it one hail storm or some irrational fear and your entire door/molding is gone down the the studs. When I was looking for a house, I toured one that looked ok until we saw the downstairs bathroom. It was obvious that the owners kept their dog in there. Everything was torn to hell: the door, the walls, the floor. Awful.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 08:07 AM) Act 1 is easy... after that the game gets dumb. Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. I'm ok in Act I, but everything in Act II one-shots me.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 31, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) Just started AFFC thanks to Steve and I am confused about the new characters already. Hope it shakes out. Yeah that first chapter blows. Let's introduce 8 new dudes in the first paragraph. It will go back to familiar faces soon.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 29, 2012 -> 08:35 PM) Also, one thing that was upsetting me but again may have missed this detail, but it seemed like Qhorin Halfhand actually had two hands in the show, which just seemed sloppy to me, but then again I stream the show so the details aren't always easy to see. He's supposed to have 2 hands...one is missing 3 fingers. On the show, he always had gloves on, so I don't think it would be noticeable.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 29, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) The one part that I was more upset about was the Stannis fighting scenes, so he's on the rampart fighting, his army loses, and is now surrounded by Tywin's army, sooooo where does he go from there? He is NOT supposed to be captured and that would be a HUGE change in direction from the books. Also, not having the "Ghost" of Renly was a bit disappointing. Stannis wasn't captured; his men pulled him away from the battle. Probably jumped back on a boat. Also, Loras was wearing Renly's stag helmet.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 29, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) They skipped ALOT in GOT, I cant believe they didnt show the chain across the river, and also I expected the wound to Tyrion to look alot worse, at least it did in my head. Well, if they made his facial wound as bad as the one in the book, Dinklage would be sitting in makeup for 2-3 hours a day.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 18, 2012 -> 08:52 AM) Sadly the main boss fights don't get much harder in Nightmare or Hell... but the bluemobs can be ridiculous not hard to kill but impossible without dying. I'm still in Nightmare. Some of these blue mobs are ridiculous already. I really hate Molten.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 16, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) Played for about an hour last night before another log-in error knocked me out. So far so good. A lot like Diablo II, but that's what I expected. This game is awesome. I'm only in Act II of Normal, but I can already tell the higher difficulties are going to be really, really tough. Can't wait to get dat phat loot

I have a sword-wielding monk named Syrio /so many Game of Thrones characters to make

Played the beta, it was awesome. Definitely going to be playing. There was a big clusterfark last night when 3 billion people tried to sign on at once. I think it's better now. I know some people who are already in Act 2.

Found a neat app for ipod/iphone called Zombies, Run! that has helped me enjoy running a little more. You play as a runner for a small compound in a zombie apocalypse. You get missions like "run to the hospital and collect some supplies" or "scout that empty town" via voice-acted clips and the app tracks your movement to complete the mission. Your music playlists play in between the mission/story sound clips. You also collect items as you're running which you use to level up parts of your town, but that part of the app seems very shallow so far. Still, worth checking out https://www.zombiesrungame.com/

QUOTE (onedude @ May 14, 2012 -> 05:39 PM) I wish I've read the books, this bulls*** waiting a week for an episode is killing me with Game of Thrones. That's why I started reading them. Fark waiting. Bran and Rickon

QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:25 AM) How did Alcatraz finish? I stopped watching halfway. spoiler even though it's pointless

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 11, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Indeed. I just happen to believe that Christianity is a cult but what do I know. "Hey everyone here who doesn't believe in my religion. I recommend you come to one of our workshops where we try to brainwash convert you into our way of thinking!" Seems cultish to me. That just seems evangelical. There are certain characteristics that are usually related to cults: charismatic leader, leader has "divine" authority, leader possesses power over followers, group considers itself special/unique/chosen, strong disdain for questioning, mistrust of outsiders, difficulty to leave. I think Jews ~2000 years ago would have considered early Christianity a cult like Christians considered early (or even modern) Mormonism a cult.

QUOTE (KG#1 @ May 11, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) Mormonism is a cult. Christianity is a religion. There is a difference there. Time and mainstream acceptance.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 11, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) I've never contended it was a good argument in support of religion. I've always maintained that in that basic sense you're still relying on an unprovable belief, and in that sense, both sides are doing the same thing. This is true for the "what happened in the first second of the universe?" question, but there are numerous other questions about the universe that ARE provable (or disprovable). If someone believes that all life on Earth was made 6,000 years ago and another person thinks that's totally wrong, that's not a "oh well, who knows who might be right?" stalemate. The first dude is wrong.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 10, 2012 -> 02:04 PM) Sigh, got all my parts yesterday, took it home and meticulously dismantled/cleaned my old computer case......and then realized the mobo doesn't fit. Thanks Gateway. Assholes. Bro, I warned you that companies like Dell/gateway make proprietary cases. They don't want you making anything for yourself. Oh well, now you can get a new case which will almost certainly look nicer than the Gateway box.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 10, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) Next, by this same logic, you all should love you some Dick Cheney. But you hate him. He supports you on this issue, so why isn't he the saint of all saints? Oh, because he doesn't have a (d) behind his name. Sheeple. He has to be the saint of all saints because we agree with him on one issue out of a hundred?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2012 -> 06:29 PM) Except when it was that marriage was only between a man and woman. I think you're stretching it. He has remained at the same end of the spectrum the entire time.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2012 -> 07:18 PM) Yep. All over the place, and changing his position based on the tides. I'd bet if the country were against it in five years, he'd change again. His previous position was in favor of civil unions. If gay rights were a scale from 0 to 5, he's been roaming around between 4 and 5 during his political career. He hasn't been "all over the place".

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 10, 2012 -> 01:45 PM) Finished A Feast for Crows last night. Agree that it was slower than the first three, but I really don't think it was that terrible as some have said. Granted, if I read this when it came out and had to wait five years for DwD I would probably have been pissed as well. That being said, the final chapters really left me with some intriguing questions and thoughts Probably going to start reading aDwD this weekend I'm totally stuck on FfC. Halfway through and can't move forward.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 10, 2012 -> 05:38 PM) The one time I used 1800FLOWERS the flowers came in a box and half were dead. Whatever local florist they used, sucked.
