  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 09:39 PM) Is Gardenhire saying they need a top notch starting pitcher? "Everybody wants the best pitchers in baseball," he said. "So if there are upgrades that can make your team better, I think every manager in baseball will tell you the same thing -- sure." http://www.startribune.com/sports/twins/97...iD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU game, set, match (FYI, I still think Ozzie said the right thing.)
  2. I was wondering when the national media would notice.
  3. Just when I was thinking it was going to be a long wait until football starts the sox climb back in it. Pretty sweet.
  4. About the only time I feel good with Uribe on at the plate is when the bases are laoded...
  5. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) we're going to win this game :yeah that:
  6. why are you guys tripping over each other to predict the next time Javy will fish up?
  7. I'm not getting anything done at work. Screw it... I'm going home to watch this.
  8. not so easy the second time through the line up, is it?
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) Wise up, might as well just move ahead to the next inning. with a 2 run lead
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) DUPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Thats the street I grew up on... wierd
  11. My avatar and sig are from last year when the sox needed KC to pull off a few upsets in order the Sox to have any chance of sniffing the playoffs... looks like the fact that I'm too lazy to change them is finally paying off :smoke: Edit... crap was it really 2 years ago? damn.
  12. Perhaps I'm too optomistic, but I think Ozzie knew exactly what he was doing. He needed to know if he can trust Javy in the big games. This was as big a game as he could get, and better Javy crap the bed now then in a game where everything is on the line. Now he knows its the same old Javy... I don't think we will be seeing too much of him in future big spots. Of course, I'm posting in the wrong thread.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 10:41 PM) I think you have to keep your eye/s on Morneau again. If the Twins make it and the Sox don't, he might be the quietest two-time league MVP in recent memory. I almost think that Hamilton has a better chance if the Twins win, because they might prefer not to give it to Morneau two seasons in a row. Carlos Quentin makes for a better storyline than J. Morneau fwiw. I also think Dye could siphon off some votes as well... ARod won last year... wouldn't be 2 in a row.
  14. I don't think Lee will sustain his current pace, but he was 18-6 a couple years ago before he was hurt... Now that he is healthy he can be pretty good. i've been pretty happy the Sox have managed to avoid him thus far.
  15. Who are the sox going to face against the tribe? CC, Westbrook and Fausta?
  16. I hate to say this... but I started hoping the Mariners would keep blasting hard hit balls to center... just so I could see if BA would get to it. He really is outstanding defensively...
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2008 -> 03:22 AM) That's it! I can't take it anymore! Can somebody explain to me what the hell I
  18. I thought the Cubans were a little more polite with their take out slides... and that is the biggest issues?
  19. Tyrus and Thabo gain confidence over the next few weeks, then when Gordon and Deng come back they manage to scratch there way into the playoffs. They knock of Boston in the first round and lose to detroit in the semi finals.
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) He's hitting no where near .234 now, and has been pretty good since 2003. In fact, he's been a much better hitter since Walker became the hitting coach. Who do you have in mind as the new hitting coach? someone with a HGH hook up.
  21. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ May 1, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) Yeah... Did you see he had a No Hitter thru 6 1/3... then pulled a hammy they said he hu=eard a pop
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) I love the logic though, an abductor strain will not slow down a speed player and an abdominal strain will not weaken a power hitter with an incredibly violent swing because, well because what? You haven't even given a reason outside of the fans being pessimists and you're some sort of self appointed voice of reason. Does he really need to state the reason why? They are on the DL getting treated and rested. Injuries do occasionally heal.
