QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:11 PM) I heard he never gets any despite being a ball player. My grandma thinks he is gay because of the way he walks. True story.

Darin Erstad is Awesome
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) What's even funnier is how the Angels announcers recognize how he lost the ball in the lights immediately, yet Hawk and DJ said the "veteran" Erstad was "deeking the runners." LOL. The guy on third was going to score no matter what. I never heard them say that.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 4, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) So if Contreras is traded at the deadline the Sox would save approximately $23,333,333. How? Anyway, doesn't he have a no trade clause?

Blow This Team Up
I like our bullpen. Everything else, I don't really give a crap about.

trade for an outfielder
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 1, 2007 -> 07:04 AM) Usually it has to do with location, and proximity to the major league ballclub, and playing in a warm weather stadium. It's not a "demotion" or punishment, a number of major league pitchers in rehab this year have been throwing in the Florida State League and the California League. No biggie. They're not going to send him to the Midwest League, for instance...although it's less of an issue now in May than it was in April. As for Anderson going to LA, no way. They already have Willits and Murphy, as mentioned. I guess that makes some sense but not much. If they are going to send your ass all the way down to A ball, why send you anywhere at all? May as well just go play catch with the local high school team. At least at that point in your career

Garrett Wolfe, NIU, Chicago Bears
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 06:00 PM) I thought the Bears reached for GW but I'm still glad to see him in Chicago. And please people, you can talk about his size and durability all you want but don't doubt anything about the man's college career. I thought they would draft him in the 6th to be honest.

trade for an outfielder
For some reason they wanted to send Chone all the way down to A ball on assignment after injury. That later got changed and he was sent to AAA like a normal person instead. (According to yahoo sports.) Why the crap would they want to send him all the way down to A ball? All he did was break some fingers http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6986/news

Apparently Terrero is the move, not Perez
You know things are bad when people are calling for joe borchard.
-
trade for an outfielder
People here all want better hitting but they don't want to give up any of the top pitching prospects or players to get it. If KW thinks the same way this is all a bunch of crap that will never happen.
-
If you had to choose one player for the rest of his career.....
I highly doubt andersnatch needs 2 full years in the minors, or that 2 full years would help him at this point.
-
Anderson sent down to AAA
You guys are right, Timo was terrible. Not just a little terrible. Jeez. I just looked at his stats. It was frightening, I guess I didn't follow stats so closely back then, or listen to you bunch of pessimists(sometimes realists).

Anderson sent down to AAA
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 10:52 PM) There were 4-5 games in his career here (against Benitez, against the Angels), but not enough to justify his overall suckiness as a player in general. 4-5 games for a bench player is enough for me. I can't think of any bench players in the two years after timo left that did that.
-
Anderson sent down to AAA
People make fun of timo here but I remember him being pretty f***ing clutch
