Capn12

First glance, seems like an overpay for him, given the full track record. BUT...as long as we're still going to spend money in other obvious needed places, then so be it.

No

For sure, but just going on how the organization has operated overall, a few exceptions withstanding, I see us spending any "real" money on 2B/RF, and going bargain bin hunting for pitching. We're not paying any starting pitcher, the current TOR going rates.

Are we talking about the same offense that mustered 6 runs in 3 losses vs the Astros in the ALDS? Because that offense fell on its face pretty hard.

Regardless of Gio and his season, want/need #1 should be a legit second baseman and right fielder. Go scour for some pitching, afterwards. You have to depend on Lynn/Giolito/Cease and a combination of ReyLo/Kopech/etc to fill it out. RF is a barren hole, and second base can't be a 'let Leury have it plus platoon' situation.

I don't think it is safe to say Gio took 'a step backward' this season. His K rate was down, but so were hard hit balls, and walk rate.

You've........seen...how this organization does in the draft, right?

Sad but true. I enjoyed the development of Sheets, AV until the rookie slump woes came....it was GREAT to see Luis destroying the ball when he returned, and Grandal too. There were some good times this season, April and May mostly, if we're being honest with ourselves. Crazy that the best run for the team, came when we had replacement level players starting every game.

Craig Kimbrel....

Have we found 'the switch' yet? Surely it can be flipped, by now?

Enjoy your last inning as a White Sox, Kimbrel, and remember just how terrible you were in the black and white.

Eloy can't hit 91 in. Organization better start really thinking about what to do with him, he has regressed something fierce.

If you're at the game, I'm fairly sure you can go ahead and move towards the parking lot. Embarrassing effort in this series by the starting pitchers #1, hitters overall #2, and a seemingly confused and lost coaching staff #3.

Beat that ball into the ground, the whole lineup does it so well.

Option: Declined

Have a pulse, Hernandez. Do what we brought you here to do, please?

At least Gavin knows how to elevate a ball. Eloy is an abomination right now.

Stupid, stupid ABs.

We really seem to have no grasp of what the other team is going to do. Just....throwing up lollipop fastballs to a guy who is looking to put the game away. Don't keep runners on at all, pound the ball into the ground when hitting...just terrible baseball intuition.

Well....

It made no sense to bring Kopech in, into this game, at all.

Man jeez...just giving away runs.

Grandal, what in the actual f$%k?

Yeah, lets not try to throw anyone out.

Great...lets walk more guys!
