White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
Winning today would be pretty big, with the weather in Cleveland tonight and tomorrows game in doubt either way, weather or CC on the mound.

Its ok BWJ, just ask all of us Sox fans...we remember Crawford all too well, and good ole Billy Koch remembers him for damn sure...

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 02:34 AM) I know, we should definitely expect more from the Anderson in the 3 at bats he gets every week, I don't see reason why he shouldn't be sharp for that 1 start he gets every week. I do agree though, Erstad's 4 BB and .294 OBP this season are kicking some serious ass atop the order. Oh and he's obviously the best defensive centerfielder on the team, 12 years of wear and tear on his body and a few dozen surgeries aside. Agree, couldn't have put it any better myself.

Isn't it kinda scary how EVERYONE outside of Ozzie and his "OK KW, if you want him on the team, he'll be here...never playing." outlook seem to know that having a 24 man roster is putting us behind the 8 ball?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 10:35 PM) 29 AB .207 avg, .604 OPS, 18 or so weak groundouts. 1 for his last 16 w/ 5 K God those numbers are HOT!!! I can see why he deserved to win the starting CF job just by signing a contract with us!!

Hmm, well if the score remains the same, do you bring Sisco back out, or put Masset in for 1 or 2 innings, then Mac or Thornton?
-
White Sox vs. Indians, 4/13/07 (W)
Only AJ and Gooch in the starting lineup are hitting less than KW and Ozzies hero, Mr grindErstad.

Luckily no blackouts for ChiSox in South Carolina, or even while I'm here in the UK. Good thing I have no desire to watch the Braves though on mlb.tv. Any ideas on Javy pitch count?

QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) well better than iguchi's .167, or dye's impressive .192 lay off him for now, if you complain about one guy then you cant forget about the others who are struggling I apologize, I wasn't aware that I couldn't call out players that are tanking hard.

grindErstad down to a healthy .231

very interesting stat
No way I'm gonna annoit Ozzie as the king of problem solvers just because he was pissed our pitching sucked, yelled about it, and now its alot better....it was against one of the best hitting teams in baseball, and since then, we've gone out and faced a couple of pretty ineffective offenses, therefore making our pitching look that much better. But I WILL give Oz all the credit in the world for standing up and pretty much telling our pitchers to man the f*** up already, and quilt throwing like its Spring Training. But all the talk in the world doesn't make Garlands sinker start sinking more, or Joses splitter dive harder...c'mon guys.

If Juan keeps the same hitting approach as right now, al lyear, our bottom of the order turning over to Pods and grindErstad is looking pretty darn good(minus AJP).

Cleveland and Minnesota have had 'talent' for years now. Only one team from the AL Central has had the ability to use the talent they've got to win it all lately though, and they don't reside in the Mistake by the Lake or the Twin Cities.\ As for pitching, I don't agree there. Pound for pound, I'd take a healthy Contreras, Javy and Buehrle anyday as well. They have been there, won the ring, know what it takes. And most people know that Javy has tons of talent, just not much in the form of mental fortitude.
