Goddamnit Konerko... YOU CANT HIT THAT, QUIT SWINGING AT IT

Once you get past our first 3 hitters in the lineup right now, it just sorta goes downhill fast.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:54 PM) Get us going Pods! Is that as hard for you to say as it is for me? Seriously though, Pods is the only one with any type approach right now at the plate, lets hope he can get on, steal 2nd, advance to 3rd on a sac, and score on another sac!!

Hah, Cintron with the phantom bag tag on that DP.

Well, that first time through our order looked as easy as possible for Oakland....

AJ building himself a nice little hole to battle out of this year, down to .130 so far. Considering we have NO options at catcher, we'll have to watch him battle out of it no matter what.

I think thats the point

Horrid pitch there, Garland gets lucky

Did Garland forget to ever work his sinker? That USED to be his out pitch...

Yeah Jon, lets go ahead and get alot of pitches here early so we can work that bullpen, again...

Walking a guy with a 0-2 count is just unexplainable...

Behold, the low and away pitch!! The elixir to solve all Sox hitter threats!!

Ahh, they switched to the Sox feed, there we go.

Pods doing what he should be doing, seeing ALOT of pitches and hacking at anything close.

MLB.tv feed from Oakland giving me no sound atm, yay...

Pods, grindErstad, Kong, Thome, Crede, AJ, Cintron, Mack, Uribe Thats your lineup tonight.

The Kansas City Royals are, without doubt, THE best 6 inning team in all of baseball. Unfortunately for them, the game is 9 innings.

I think almost all of us who thought BA was getting a bad shake in terms of the CF 'competition' would rather see him getting ABs everyday in AAA instead of Ozzie keeping him on the team because KW wants him up...just not ever using him despite MANY chances to.

Thats precisely it. The search engine was being run so much, while gamethreads were going on, lots of people on the boards, and it was leading to the "Too many connections" messages you'd see becase too many people were hitting refresh over and over and over. Huge strain on things. Kap can explain it better

Ah of course, thanks Kalapse, go me for not paying attention

Quick question about last nights game. Why didn't Jenks get credited for a save? The game didn't start until 3 AM here last night, so I didn't get to see it.

As long as grindErstad and Pods(ugh) keep doing what they are doing, I can't argue with the results. Both are getting it done at the top of the lineup. Lets keep it going against rook tonight, Jonny G!!!

I think you guys are ALLLLL wrong!! Pods is hitting .364 with a .462(FOUR SIXTY TWO!!) OBP!!! Who cares about SBs!!!

Lead us to the promised land, Jimbos...maggs got us started with a couple wins, time for the same at least!! I'd assume the normal lineup tonight as well, hopefully the lift and pull method against Johan will not linger for the guys.

QUOTE(bardsroom attendant @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 06:00 PM) Add me in to the list of people impressed by John Danks today. Most impressive was the way he rebounded from the three run jack by taking care of matters in the next two innings. Nice call to take him out after the sixth right at the 100 pitch mark. What can you say - you had a rookie making his debut against the universally acknowledged best pitcher in the game and we had the winning run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth. Let's go get them in Oakland. Ozzie's postgame was good btw, for those that may not have heard it. He said next time he was going to get his mom to cook for Santana and that then "he won't feel like pitching the next day". I'll settle for him putting a lineup out that has a chance against Santana....wait, we may not even have such tbh.
