  1. Thank you, Cerb...I agree totally
  2. OK...and how many players in the last 20 years have been able to dominate at the age of 23?? Can ya list anymore?? I'll wait patiently Ken Griffey, Jr. A-Rod..... OK....let me reiterate something...how many 23 year old PITCHERS...WTF do great young hitters have to do with Cotts?
  3. Yeah, get him out..and bring in the uber-better Danny Wright That guy Wright is awesome!!! Hey, at least Danny Wright has seen the show. Seriously. And please quit holding his hand and rubbing his feet. I'm not holding his hand, but you guys make it sound like we have other "better" options out there?? Wanna tell me who they are?
  4. OK...and how many players in the last 20 years have been able to dominate at the age of 23?? Can ya list anymore?? I'll wait patiently
  5. Yeah, get him out..and bring in the uber-better Danny Wright That guy Wright is awesome!!!
  6. Yuck...well, its not like none of us weren't aware of the kids control issues throughout his career. He has ALWAYS, at every level, walked alot of guys...so those of you that expected some drastic change once he got to the hardest level of all, you confuse me.
  7. uh..are you talking about Cotts? dude, he is what 23? and his 1st MLB start ever??? how bout we give him a Wee bit more time.
  8. I doubt that....mgmt is happy with Wright in the pen, seeing we have no other righty out there beside Mr. Surgery Tom Gordon and Not-so-right Billy Koch. If the kid can avoid high pitch counts, and that will be a battle, then he'll be fine in #5 spot. WE have already started his MLB time, so no reason to send him back down, and compromise with someone else there.
  9. Walks in AA Birmingham can be overcome...walks in MLB cannot...but we all knew before the first pitch that the kid strikes out alot, and walks alot too.
  10. I imagine if they wanted to do that, they could..but Cotts and his pitching position in the majors/minors would be totally fubar. For that reason alone, they probably won't do that
  11. Options are by years, not by how many times you get sent down. So if a guy has 2 options left, he can be sent up and down in 2 different years, not 2 different times in 1 year or anything...
  12. Uh....1 run out of bases loaded, no outs...thats not real good is it?
  13. Ouch....Roberto Hernandez is getting lit up in Atlanta..and Rock-Meister gave up a 3 run shot to Greg Norton...not a good night for former Sox pitchers
  14. Looking pretty good for KC to drop the game tonight, Minny also down big...lets get that game from last night back.
  15. Nice job by PK, turning the 3-6-3 DP, and Cottsy has his 1st official IP.
  16. I see Cottsy has "Glove"s old number 38...that was Glover 2 years ago, wasn't it?
  17. This now isn't the situation we needed to start him in....Mondays game was big because we had a big starting pitcher advantage, obviously that wasn't so. Now, Cotts has to keep us from dropping into 3rd place.....
  18. Welcome to soxtalk.com after a loss.....God Forbid we don't go 162-0!!!! Losses happen, this wasn't all Schoeneweis' fault, lets not forget the piss-poor job by the offense in the first 3-4 innings...thats not situational hitting, and thats where we lost the game....but Schoe didnt help
  19. I must agree with ya there, Roman...and that ain't an easy thing for me to do
  20. He's a FA after this year...and he won't get the kind of money he's getting right now...
  21. Well, the organization will have their chance to upgrade the SS position after this season...we'll see what they want to do.
  22. This looks alot like the 2001 and 2002 Sox teams on the West Coast, and thats definately not a good thing.
  23. WTF??? we gotta have about 8 LOB already...all it takes is one good hit in that situation, and the energy will seep away from the ANgels...we keep letting them hang around, as bad as their hitting has been, they'll find a way.
  24. Uh-oh....Molasses Konerko is gonna be up with bases loaded again....c'mon Paulie...no Damn groundballs!!! anything in the air will work.
  25. Well, 2004 is more likely to be the year that USC could take the SEC....LOTS of youth this year, but lots of talent for Lou and Skip to work with....I'm pumped, got my season tickets in the mail last week, such a beautiful sight!!!
