The perverbial "defining our team" game for my South Carolina boys is Wednesday night at home against Mississippi State. Most 'experts' have questions how good this USC team is, with a weak non-conference schedule. A win over a much-ballyhooed Miss St team would go a long ways in terms of SEC standings. It would put USC back into a tie with Kentucky atop the SEC East. I'm ready.

Abbey Road still gets mucho airplay in my CD player. Hard to believe its been almost 25 years since Lennon was killed. As for the teeny-bopper early music comments...well, think about it this way. Thats yet another influence that the Beatles put on modern music. These days, to break into the commercial music industry, you have to make music that is appealing to the overall population first off. Music that will get airplay, simplistic styles and easy to remember lyrics. Then, when you have the perverbial "populations attention", you can start to make music that YOU feel is important to YOU. It happens all the time in modern music now, and it happened in the early 60's when The Beatles were touching down in the United States of America for the first time. "And in the end, the love you take.....is equal to the love....you make."

Guess I'm officially 3rd in line on the Beatles train. Been defending them as long as I've been on here. Too bad I have to work through Letterman, I woulda liked to have seen it.

I've been stuck on that damn Drug known as EverQuest for about 6 months. So addictive, I don't even play my XBox anymore...

All I can say is ouch....my boys went to Rupp Arena, held Kentucky to under 40% from the field, get the last shot to try and win......and lose...by 1 point. 65-64. And as a reward, they get to play Mississippi State on Wednesday night. Coach Odom has our team of youngsters playing some inspired hoops. At 19-4, all looks pretty good right now.

Sometimes apparently its just the "in" thing to do....to say, "Wow...the Beatles are overrated." Most of the folks who know something about music can attest to the sheer beauty that was a Lennon-McCartney composition. Great musicians? No, not really. Great vocals? Most of the time, but not God-like. Point is, its hard to question the sum of the entity known as "The Beatles" considering what was accomplished from the early days in The Cavern Club right up to the Abbey Road rooftop concert. No, they were by no means the best musicians ever, but the music that they released from 1964-1970, how they shaped it and transformed it, is still to this day something to marvel at.

Well, my South Carolina boys are now 18-2, and 5-1 in the SEC!!! Dunno how you cant get them a slot in the Big Dance right now. Dave Odom could quite possibly be Coach of the Year for his efforts with a team that was "supposed" to finish last in the confrence. Kudos to Coach Odom and the guys in Columbia, SC!!

Yep, and I'm sorry....but Carl Everett had no friggin clue how to play CF. He just didnt have then mentality to get it done there. Throwing to the wrong base, missing cutoff men, weak arm....I know Carl could hit, but IMO AaRow can produce enought to warrant his everyday status.

Hopefully its known that I've been the biggest AaRow supporter around. i have been all for giving him his shot, and NOT bringing anyone in to play CF. No need to, when I believe that we have our solution already here. We are all rooting for ya AaRow!!
