*sigh* Thanks for gettin here way earlier than me SS2K4. All I can do is reiterate what SS2K4 said. Difference of opinions are expected on message boards. Hell, its what makes discussions so great alot of the time. But thats as far as it needs to go. No reason to sling mud on any of our posters, or their families. Think before you post.

Maybe, but Reed IMO must be above and way beyond AaRow after ST to take the job from him. How can one reasonably judge AaRow from the sporadic starting time he has had?? Let Reed get his AAA seasoning, and don't try to throw him up here a-la Joe Borchard style...although I do believe the Reed will be a better MLB player than Borchard, if he ever is a MLB player.

/nod...I agree YASNY...I've been a fan of Jonny boy for a while, and don't quite understand how people can call the kid a bust, and have a desire to trade him. I want Garland around on teh Southside for as long as we can keep him. He can become IMO a solid #2 in time.

Vedder is solid...lately he's been slipping IMO...but damn, those boys been touring for 13-15 years...touring has taken its toll on Eddie and his voice. Also, Fiona's new CD comes out in Jan or Feb supposedly. She takes her time with new albums, but damn worth it IMO.

I'm probably in the minority here, but i honestly love to hear Fiona Apple sing, I love her lyrics, her piano playing. Yeah, she has issues outside of music, but read about her f***ed up upbringing, and maybe that'll explain it. And of course, Dave Grohl is my man. I still argue to this day that he is one of the most talented guys out there right now in the music industry. Then theres Coldplay. Yeah, they are becoming more and more commercial, but there is a reason thats happening: its just damn good music. "Rush of Blood to the Head" hasn't left my CD player in my car for a month now. Also been listening to "Parachutes" which, actually maybe a better CD. Eddie Vedder has long been one of my favorite vocalists. Those guys keep churning out quality CDs, even through bandmember changes. Talk about long lifespan in the music scene

Bravo Brett....Thoghts and prayers were and still are with you. You went out, let your focus be the game you play for 3+ hours, and excelled like few others could have in teh face of such adversity. I've always been a Favre fan, and a Packers fan (hate me if ya want).....I'm proud to be one now, and always will be. Now the grieving time can be the focus as it should be.

Heads, my dad lived out there for a while, so I spent a couple summers there. I went quite a few places around there, but of course thats when I was 9-10 years old (I am 26 now). Wish I could remember some things about SA, but it was the 80's when I was there GL in the Bowl game!!

Yeah, Past, that was the story. Go read todays Tribune online though. Apparently Windsock KW changed his mind again, and decided to tender Schoen. Now he probably will end up with what most figure a 10% raise(go figure). That puts him at 1.65 mill for 2004. Crazy, since we are already over the enormously large Payroll JR has set for us.

I honestly believe that KWs plan all along is to trade Nomar if/when he is acquired, and keep Williamson. Of course hes gonna say "We plan on keeping Nomar if we are able to acquire him." What better way to get Dan Evans to start thinking like a desperate GM? KW puts Evans in a major bind if he acquires Nomar, and then acts as if we are gonna keep him. That way, Evans breaks down and says "OK. Take Perez, Mota and Jackson. I need that marquee name here in LA." Its a mighty fierce game of Poker KW is playing, we are lucky hes not doing it against Beane or the like!!

Thanks for the last couple of years, RPS. I used to turn down Hawk and DJ to hear you guys, occasionally even dropping a line to ya. I got to meet Killa and Guido when I came up this past July from South Carolina for the KC series. Its been great, and it was appreciated more than you guys probably know.
