Capn12

Hell yeah, Brando...whats the name of the song? Hehe...everytime I hear that guitar lead-in..I don't have to even be watching TV, I know what it is. I hope that the NFL network can make it, Rich Eisen is a quality guy, and a great caster.

Well, if we are playin that game....I'd PREFER to turn Frank Thomas into Frank Robinson, and Willie Harris into Willie Mays.....and maybe Jose Valentin into Jose Feleciano. He could sing Feliz Navidad during the 7th inning stretch. Then turn Aaron Rowand into Aaron Spelling. He could write a cheesy team angst melodrama about the Sox. Also, we'd have to turn Sandy Alomar Jr into Sandy Duncan, who was on the show "Valerie". Oh, the possiblilities are endless!!!

Quite the moral dilemma Brett has now. OK, before anyone posts something like "Show some respect!!" or "Family comes first!!", hear me out. Brett always said the streak means nothing to him, while most of us disagree. We are all about to find out the truth tomorrow. Its a game the Packers DESPERATELY need, and a more important, tragic event has happened in the Favre family. Wow, it must be pulling his thoughts all different ways right now..We're thinking about ya Brett, do the right thing. Bless the Favre family in this time of need.

BeGood...think your boys are done for the year....the annual Winter woon for the 'Fins started earlier than usual this year.

Oops. I stand corrected. Ahhh, to be in the wishy-washy head of KW....

Ugh....Schoeneweis better be something more than just an innings eater. He hasn't proven that he can even do that on a consistent level in MLB.

First off, welcome aboard!!! As for your question, yes Schoeneweis was non-tendered. you can get the info here.

I honestly didt see this one coming, although I'm glad it did. I was sure that KW was gonna do everything in his power to let Schoen take, and fail, in the #5 spot in our rotation. Fine by me, KW. No way in hell should we have risked paying Scott Freakin Schoeneweis $2 mill.

beastley...why start the SAME topic when The Critic had already done it? ......incoming merge.

Yeah, agreed ABoz. That, and the fact that she says everyone has the wrong image of her. She says she isn't the innocent one at all.....

Welcome aboard Dsav, if I haven't said it yet. Your point is certainly a valid one. Its even more scary to think that KW says we are over budget, with these holes still on the 25 man roster. Gonna be an interesting Spring Training. I look for 2-3 of the non-tendered guys to get a shot in ST. Hopefully Redman and maybe Garcia. I could live with Buehrle, ELoz, Garland, Redman, Garcia rotation.

Well, was trying to use this only for BeGood, but the situation certainly fits.

That would explain why you don't have time to learn proper grammar and syntax usage BeGood!!! I'll be a bit easier on ya from now on, seeing as you got a restaurant to run AND a band!!

New sig says it all, DBAH0....I better not see anyone named Cedeno on the Sox roster in 2004

If you guys are as emotional about your work at your job as you are about posters on Soxtalk.com, then you deserve EVERY penny you get paid!!! Its a message board!!! Message Board - A place where different people from all over the world can get together, and voice their opinions. Said opinions MAY be different than other posters opinions.

............C'mon all....

Redman is definately a solid #4 guy, something we currently desperately need. The only thing that scares me about him is his performance in the playoffs. Then again, for that to matter we'd have to GET to the playoffs!!

Excellent point ASA....hehe...Detroit has been ungodly since the new stadium as a place where good hitters go to be marginal.

Well, could be. And Thomas isn't necessarily on the books for 2005. It'll be nice to get some of the garbage off the payroll, and Maggs 14 mill will be off whether he is here in 2004 or not. So will Koch's 6.375, and JosE6's 5 mill. It will indeed be a time to get some decent talent in here, IF JR will allow KW to.

I just don't see Payton doing much outside of Coors, maybe I'm wrong. I was never too impressed with him in NY.

beastley, no reason to start umpteen threads....just pile it all into one.

Disagree. It indeed does take some talent to do some of the things people like OutKast, Jermain Dupri and a couple others do. If you don't like the music genre, fine. But don't call it completely talentless drivel.

Piss and moan all you want, but what Morissey says is unfortunately true. Its something that most of us Sox fans have known anyways, but nice to see it in a heavy rotation newspaper.

Gawd...this photo says it all....whenever I break up with Jessica Alba....I'm gonna go track down Jennifer Anniston!!!

ONly a 1-time 20 game winner, so lets not get carrid away. We all hope, and some expect ELoz to repeat his success from 2003, but no one knows for sure if it can be done. At least Buehrle has been extremely consistent in his performance level his whole career. I feel confident in Buehrle being solid at #1/2, Jonny G being solid at #4.....otherwise...I'm kinda worried.
