Sox looking at building in South Loop
Due to the proximity of the river, I would doubt it.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
Just keep saying no to public funding, and they could build a little at a time to try to impress. Say no enough, they finish it off.

RIP Harry Chappas
Maybe, or maybe he never reached the major leagues and no one ever knew who he was. Apparently he died from cancer, and also injured his leg in a motorcycle accident way back when ending his attempts to revive his career.

Orioles might need an ace
I think the Sox need to capitalize on Crochets breakout. Yes, you could sign him to an extension, but the next couple, maybe several years, maybe even more, will be non competitive. With his history, he is still a ticking time bomb IMO, and if you really don’t need his dominance in the next couple of seasons, it behooves you to trade him while the stock probably can’t be any higher. An extension would be a huge gamble. Put where they are in perspective. They can tie the team record for win improvement from one year to the next and still lose 92 games, and will be drafting higher than they will next summer.

The trade ideas begin! Robert for Holliday ++
And if they thought they had a roster bad enough to lose 110, it shouldn’t be a surprise when they lose 120.

Considering the teams current situation, I’d trade 2 years Crochet for 6 years of him in a heartbeat.

The trade ideas begin! Robert for Holliday ++
That’s business as usual for the White Sox. Instead of getting one or two great players, split it up and go for mediocrity. Holliday is obviously not on the block. But not wanting him due to some MLB ABs as a 20 year old, he’s younger than Noah Schultz and Hagen Smith, is crazy.

Dear Sox fans
I gave up my season tickets in 2023. I have been getting these emails. If the crossed out name is a female it’s probably the same one that bothered me several times in August and September for a group outing which I have never done. I ignored it for a while just like he did, but after the 5th or 6th one with this same type of being owed a response back email, I gave her one. Told her the team was a laughingstock, I value my money more than to blow it on a product so uninteresting and not entertaining, and I wouldn’t be interested in what she was selling until the team showed it had a clue how to put together a team that was worthy of my time and money. That stopped the emails. They literally were coming every other day.

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
Ozzie was in the commercial for the new channel, so you have to figure he is coming back.

I guess you gave up on the premium defensive position argument. That was pretty fast.

The trade ideas begin! Robert for Holliday ++
Holliday would be the Sox best player since Frank Thomas.

The trade ideas begin! Robert for Holliday ++
He played as a 20 year old. Colson Montgomery is almost 2 years older than him.

When is the last time the Sox had a real good 2B?

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
I think anyone with a cable package or YouTube tv or whatever just wants it on their platform to watch. I get everyone in the Chicago are could get it with rabbit ears, but it’s kind of a pain in the ass, and at this point mostpeople don’t want rabbit ears in the rooms they watch TV and don’t want to have to switch their input on their TV. It certainly takes away from channel changing during the games. It’s weird, when everyone used rabbit ears, the Sox couldn’t wait to get away from it, now that most don’t have them, they go back. it is a positive though that most in Chicagoland will have access to each game even if it is a pain in the ass for the majority. It would really be nice if ownership made the effort worth it with a halfway decent team.

Can you name every player to appear on the 2024 Chicago White Sox?
Which would be excellent. Maybe he’s been working on it for a couple of days.

I can’t believe Caulfield isn’t giving this a try. 63 names in one post is right up his alley.

Andrew Vaughn
Might have won 43 and not set a record. But of course Jake Eder is a stud.

I think it will be a long while before significant trades. First up is the new manager. Now JR has basically said managers and coaches , except named Tony LaRussa, make no difference. But in his letter, he made it appear this will be a franchise altering hire. I can’t wait.

Andrew Vaughn
When he was drafted, I was as big of Andrew Vaughn fan as there was. Everything I saw, everything I read , was so positive. This was a guy who made pitchers throw strikes. I was so excited. But he still misses pitches by 2 feet. His numbers are basically the same every year. If they keep him one more year, just in case, I'll get it, but it's probably time to move on.

Fire Chris Getz
They had reason to release him. Under the Chris Getz developmental program, he was 0-6 with a 15.92 ERA
-
The Mystery of Luis Robert
Yeah Getz was holding court before that game and told everyone that obviously Hagen will be spending some quiality time while he was there with Garrett Crochet. When they asked him about it in the booth, he never spoke to him. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Schriffen speaks...
He's a 40 year old man trying to talk like a 16 or 17 year old. I honestly think he would be great at the hot dog eating contest. I had it on one year. It's beyond disgusting to watch, but the commentary is great. One guy was calling these dopes jamming 50 hot dogs down their gullets , the greatest athletes in the world. That's exactly what he would say.

Schriffen speaks...
That was the one game I attended this year, so I missed it live. It was right at the beginning of June. I was still trying to like him. I know his situation was pretty messed up. But listening to that later lost me. He has no idea the difference between baseball and WWE,and UFC, and Slamball.
-
Andrew Vaughn
Vaughn has been basically the same for 3 years. If the choice is him or Sheets, I'd take him, but they both should probably go.

Crochet open to extension...
I think the biggest difference other than admitting being wrong is there is no way JR would suggest signing a Jordan Montgomery type to a 1 year $25 million contract.
