The $$$$ will be spent!
When they have had money to spend, top guys have never been realistic because as KW liked to say, you can't spend $1 if you only have $.50. They just didn't want to spend money on the top guys. Spreading it around and hoping everything went right was the plan.

The $$$$ will be spent!
That has been their plan for years except they generally pick the wrong guys shopping in the bargain bin. One year, they hit on just about everyone and won a WS. Other than that, it's been mostly an Adam Dunn swing and a miss. A superstar would have been a nice boost to the franchise. Maybe they will sign one some day. The thing is, you don't get the opportunity to sign guys like Machado and Harper on the open market at their age very often.

Everything sucks except your opinion.

The $$$$ will be spent!
He's been so bad his fWAR is about the same as Tim Anderson.

The $$$$ will be spent!
Machado has a very similar fWAR to Moncada. He's playing pretty well. Harper hasn't been very good, but he'll be OK and would have been a huge upgrade to the crap the Sox currently trot out to RF, not to mention the extra revenue these guys would have brought with them.

The $$$$ will be spent!
But they cost money, and nowhere near minimum. BTW, if you went back to the beginning of the rebuild, not many would be happy with hovering around .500 at this time. Many thought 2019 was going to be the first year of contention.

The $$$$ will be spent!
Who cares about hovering around .500 ? That's mediocrity defined. And since only 2 of those guys have actually played in the major leagues, and one for 14 innings, why do their injuries make much difference other than to fit into your ridiculous narrative.

Yeah, you can get guys like Nova, Alonso, Jay, Santana. Maybe now that you have some prospects, pick up another Shields.

Moncada would be at 2B if Machado was signed. I believe he would outplay Yolmer and Rondon. And he would have probably been a candidate to move to RF if Madrigal warranted an eventual starting postion on the roster. I think he is probably a better option than Palka or Cordell or Tilson or whoever else the Sox might throw out there.

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
You said facts. So name the 2 pitchers Jose Abreu has homered off of most often in his career. Justin Verlander Corey Kluber So your first sentence is garbage.

6/23- Sox at Rangers, 2:05, WGN
I hate the PR here.

Moncada looks like he messed his back up again.

Is Ricky the worst manager in White Sox history?
Chuck Tanner has the managerial record for consecutive last place finishes. Obviously, the better the roster, the better the manager. Bad players make smart moves not work. Good players make bad decisions work out. Good players win, bad players don't.

Is Ricky the worst manager in White Sox history?
The one thing I didn't understand was when he double switched the other night with Moncada. Why have Moncada bat if he couldn't swing the bat?

GT Chicago vs Chicago, 6/19/19, 7:05 CT
Yes. If you don’t mind the Sox doing it, you kind of have to live with itwhen the opponents do it. I remember Carlos Gomez wasn’t fondly thought of around here when he was “having fun”.

Postgame: Eloy Reigns! (White Sox winner)
It's getting to the point I almost expect Eloy to go deep at least once each game. He has made a mockery of MLB pitching the last couple of weeks.

GRate to get Netting to the Foul Poles
Brooks Boyer originally claimed the current netting would be lowered until game time for interaction. I don't know if that was determined to be too big of a pain in the ass or what.

GRate to get Netting to the Foul Poles
I have always hated nets, but with the golf balls they use now coupled with the lack of attention in the stands whether its texting or taking selfies or whatever, it must be done.

Collins getting called up
I hope he can hit .230. The White Sox prospects usually don't do too well when they are called up, but they really haven't called up a guy like this. Even Moncada, with as selective as he was, didn't draw walks like Collins. It will be interesting to see how he does. I'm sure a lot of strikeouts, but take the good with the bad. Get on base and hit some homers. I am thinking more like an old Adam Dunn. An average hovering around .200 with a k rate at about 220 a season, and an on base about .320-.330 and some homers.

Collins getting called up
I think Castillo goes on the DL and when he is ready to return, Alonso gets released.

This is false.

2018-2019 Official NBA thread
Lonzo has a lot of talent but can't shoot. His free throw percentage is ridiculous, so having him in at the end of games as a primary ball handler is scary. And you get his dad. Stars win. Unless it's a guy like AD who is going to flee, IMO, whoever gets the best player in an NBA trade wins the trade 95% of the time.

Moncada back. No pun intended.

Rick Hahn and his Trades
I am enjoying this uptick in quality of play as much as anyone, but before I offer any apologies to Rick Hahn, being .500 isn’t the goal. I will see how this plays out. If half of these guys are for real, they should be OK. Gio, no one could have seen this coming. Eloy is staring to become the beast we were hoping. Moncada looks like he can do a lot of damage. Anderson and McCann iare hitting. Hopefully it is real. Robert, Madrigal, Vaughn. Nice line up. Will need some pitching .
