  1. Wayne Nordhagen also was in the house.
  2. That makes it worse. Genius if it gets them Machado, massive failure and joke if it doesn't, and that's with Alonso being what he's been the last couple of seasons. Since he is nowhere near that, it's beyond belief failure. The interesting thing to think about for me was had his presence actually made Machado take JR's money, would his rope be longer than it will be now?
  3. Rosenthal in. They will try to give the Sox a chance.
  4. Kind of shocked they got 12 tonight. Ray Ray let us know earlier it’s easier to not give up runs in the majors than it is in AAA.
  5. If he is upset, so be it. He was going to be a 40 man roster casualty had they waited until October anyway.
  6. That is implying the pitchers with ERAs in the 2s in MLB would not have them if they played in AAA, and the guys with 3.00 eras in AAA might be I the 2s facing better hitters. That is pretty laughable.
  7. Even though the release sounds cold, they actually didn't hurt him at all. He still gets paid. He can re-sign or pick another place. It's not like he was going to be able to improve his postion any time soon. So he either re-signs or gets a head start on a new team with their rehab program.
  8. He hasn't, but his k-rate is less than half it was. He is going to be giving them up soon enough.
  9. Because he gave up no runs in Charlotte.
  10. Covey, Fulmer, Frare, Marshall, Osich, and Ruiz say you are nuts.
  11. The fact that he is sitting and his option situation, indicates to me the end of the Yonder Alonso Experience is coming soon.
  12. 3 walks in 2/3 of an inning has nothing to do with the run scoring environment. It's more difficult to walk AAA hitters than major league hitters. He can use some refining. The one thing you used to point out he was dominating was his ERA. Now there are a few more doing better than him.
  13. Nice job Eloy batting 3rd in the inning even.
  14. Where was the head clearing the first 55 games.
  15. So Eloy can handle batting 6th but not 5th. I am getting closer to have heard everything .
  16. RH, KW, and JR gush over Ricky. Like it or not, he will be calling for bunts from the White Sox dugout for a long time.
  17. I don't know how any of the degrees helps him evaluate baseball talent and build a baseball team , but an undergrad from Michigan, a law degree from Harvard, and an MBA from Northwestern does indicate he's a pretty bright guy.
  18. He wants a one year deal or a multiple with an opt out after this season. Neither would make sense for the White Sox, but if he is willing to sign for 3 with no opt out, why not?
  19. Keuchel reminds me of Buehrle
  20. I wonder what Coop told him.
  21. DJ doesn’t realize he isn’t on the radio. A little silence won’t kill you.
  22. Anyone read this gambling bill that was passed in IL? Looks like next season, maybe even this fall, you will be able to make wagers at sports venues.
  23. Too bad this board wasn't around for the griping when the Sox refused to go for value and took an uninspiring and safe pick in Frank Thomas. Value is determined a few years from now. Not pre draft.
