The pitching is bad, but they aren't going to continue to give up 7 runs a game. So there will be some movement toward the mean. Guys like Palka, it should be short leash time. Give him the weekend. If he still doesn't have a hit, sorry Danny Boy it's Charlotte time. I get being patient, and being in a rebuild, but it would be nice if even if it was a token move at this point, the Sox did something to show what is going on is not acceptable.

Firing someone would be an admission of being wrong, something that takes the White Sox making a colossal blunder to ever admit . I have no doubt JR, KW and RH will pop off 9 or 10 years from now to point out how correct they were if Machado isn't still a big time player. I know a lot of posters are sick of the Machado talk, but what a blunder. Not only does he immediately increase your talent level, it's a boost to everyone else on the roster who now knows the White Sox truly believe in them. A large part of the game is mental, and cheaping out on a big time player IMO may have taken the wind out of several other players' sails.

According to Renteria on the postgame the Sox pitching problems have nothing to do with preparation or having a plan, they just all are suffering from delivery problems right now. coop will fix em -

I think the Yankees were 72-17 last year when they scored first. I doubt everyone is that extreme, but it may behoove the Sox to start working out their 1st inning problems. -
I know 4 people who became violently ill shortly after getting a flu shot this past winter. 2 actually spent several days in the hospital.

All part of the friends and family plan the White Sox have installed. The Boone Alomar Alou br Brett brothers were all pretty good for a while, Wimpy's brother has a 1.000 career batting average and reached base all 5 times he batted in the major leagues, Hopefully this works out. Then RH can lowball Fernando as a free agent and KW can don sunglasses to hide his shock. that he didn't take the better offer, just the one the team couldn't afford.
-
The money will be spent. The White Sox just don't deal with reality. From free agents all they way to their ticket buyers. They think people will pay $100 a ticket to sit in the Goose Island thing in RF. Turns out yesterday just about the only people sitting there were people who got freebies walking into the park. There was no one there at the end of the game.

Having Engel ph for you is rock bottom especially if you are a switch hitter

I think a guy trying to throw a ball 110 mph in the offseaon ultimately requiring tj surgery shouldn't be shocking to anyone.
-
If three seasons in with capital like Sale, Q, and Eaton to trade, the Sox are still losing 100 games, it is a big deal. It shows the guys in charge have no clue. This wasn't starting from scratch. They started on second base.

From Robert Kraft's place?

Just wait until Jon Jay comes back. Look out AL Central.
-
Yeah, I was hoping for 5 innings giving up 3 or 4 runs. Obviously much worse, but the guy needs to work off the rust.
-
I wonder how the Sox lost out on Trevor Rosenthal.
-
Someday Santana might pitch an inning for the White Sox where he doesn't allow a run.
-
I don't think Hahn and KW are quite hated like GarPax by their respected fanbases. As long as Moncada keeps it up, they will probably get a pass on a lot of bad. But thank God he's doing something.
-
He is Chris Davis without the contract.
-
Santana has barely pitched the last year and a half. I would have expected a rough outing today, and maybe a couple of more, but if he is still 2016 James Shields by his 4th or 5th start, it's time to get the waivers process moving.

Home run hitting contest today for the Rays.
