Better Late Than Never Gamethread
They claim theses guys get along as well as any team ever. I don’t hang out with them, as long as they aren’t wife beaters or child molestors, I would rather have 25 assholes who can play.

I am sure he still wants to win, but his way. And he doesn’t seem like a go for the jugular kind of guy. He has his titles, and doesn’t seem to want to risk his profit for more.

It is amazing when Hahn goes for the $3 million to $4 million a year signing, he always seems to be wrong.

Sox @ Orioles Gamethread, 4/23 6:05 CDT (Nova vs. Cashner)
I am pretty sure if you went up to the plate against Fulmer and just wanted to walk or get hit , you would have no problem.

I don’t know why anyone would go to bat not fully armored up, but against Fulmer, it’s a must. You let him throw 125 innings he probably sets a record.

Per Forbes: White Sox 6th most profitable team by operating income, valued at 1.6B overall
This isn't a good headline: Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr. and the rise of a Padres powerhouse

ADAM ENGEL MYSTERY
According to statcast, yes. He is closer to Billy Hamilton than Tim Anderson is to Engel. Buxton and Mondesi blow everyone away.

Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
I just wonder why he didn’t appeal. Maybe he just wanted to move on.

Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Some co workers. We all used to work with a guy that liked to call just about all his African American co workers that. There were more than a couple that didn’t like it. One I thought was about to hurt him. Anderson meant it as a derogatory term obviously and from what I can tell it was directed at a white player. Why would it be OK for him to say that if it was really bad if that player said it to him? Again, I think a suspension is ridiculous. The ejection to me is now warranted, as well as the fine.

Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
I know blackoeople who get offended when they are called that name by another black person. I believe TA called a white guy that name. If the wihite guy called TA that name, he would be done for a long time. I think a suspension is a bit much. A fine , and perhaps an apology would do the trick. But no one should use that word when putting down an opponent. Thankfully it is just one game and he can appeal it and buy time to choose a day off

It must be something he said. Whatever. It will be appealed and whatever the suspension is, it will be cut to one game.

So it's wrong to manipulate, but OK to manipulate.

At least this is watchable. Fulmer increased his spin rate, but not his ability to throw consistent strikes or have much command.

Is the DFA talk now off the table?

He needed that one. He was looking not so good since his 2 homer night.

He's really not noted for that, and you still want the other guys behind the plate as much as possible if you think they may have a future back there. That would leave this guy very little playing time. So, to me, it must mean someone isn't long at being primarily a catcher. Maybe they are now so excited about Collins' bat, they don't want him to take the beating behind the plate.

But they wouldn't tell him that.

Perhaps, but even bad catchers like Nicholas who have played in the major leagues want to put themselves in a postion to do it again. He's probably 5th on the depth chart. It's not like every other team is in the same situation.

Let Collins be Adam Dunn there. The Sox signed a minor league catcher. Seems a bit weird.
