  1. I am not a Yolmer guy, but c'mon man. Its 5 games. Playoff series are longer than that.
  2. Waltz into a bar in the neighborhood and ask them for a parking pass.
  3. If you're not supposed to pitch Covey, why have him on the roster? There was a good point made earlier, the game was probably lost on Saturday when they used Herrera and Colome, making Herrera was unavailable, so Renteria, who I am no fan of, was stuck. He brought in Fry who many here have said is basically elite. He was bad. If he brought in Jones, everyone would have complained. I don't know how many times I have read on this board Covey may make a pretty good reliever. Well, not yesterday, but they aren't contending for a WS so it's worth a try to see what you have.
  4. Yesterday was the first time the Sox, Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks all lost on the same day since Saturday.
  5. Frare better learn to throw strikes unless he likes less pay and summers in Charlotte.
  6. Herrera unavailabie. Jones with issues. The improved Sox bullpen suddenly back to mediocrity.
  7. Cold, shawdowy, and electric stuff is not a good combination to score a lot of runs.
  8. Jason doing his best Jon Miller impression calling Perez Pairez
  9. I have the same attitude towards Yolmer and I know it isn't fair. It isn't like he is horrible. He is average, sometimes slightly above and many times, slightly below. It's just what he represents that sours me. He is considered a White Sox developmental success story, and he is at best average. I get he dumps water on himself, but any other team, he's just some guy with a good sense of humor. The other thing he now represents is Machado failure. So every time he steps up, I am reminded how the Sox couldn't afford to build a winner when JR is 92 or 93 so they had to come in second for Machado.
  10. Dusty Baker, Mike Matheny, Mike Scoscia, and Joe Maddon were all managing when he was hired, and although none are Latin, they all speak Spanish fluently.
  11. Palka has always had that flash in the pan vibe to me, and that flash was home runs in very meaningless games. He can hit it a long way and hard, but I doubt he ever duplicates what he did last year. It's worth a shot to see considering the White Sox current position, but chances are he is a guy who shows you why he was waived in the first place.
  12. Sloppy play and poor fundamentals are also a sign of bad players. I am not a Renteria fan, but other than bunting, and some of his bullpen use, I don't see how he's at fault for badness like when guys air mail a throw to a wrong base.
  13. He already had TJ surgery the other way.
  14. You can't trust it, but perhaps the new motion gives reason for more optimism than usual.
  15. Law has been invested in Gio for longer than Gio has been a White Sox. There were more than a couple of good things yesterday. Hopefully, he can keep it up.
  16. I don’t know. It was Billy Hamilton. The ball wasnt exactly smoked. Decent chance Abreu makes the play. A left handed firsbaseman might have had a problem.
  17. Gio has dominated KC during his career. That said, there are some things to be happier about with him. Outside of the first hitter, his command seems better. He is missing more bats,He is throwing harder, and he isn’t just giving the runner a free base anymore.
