Obama should have just proclaimed he wanted the opposite of everything he wanted. All his dreams would have come true. How does this move make the world a safer place? The only reaon Trump is against it is because Obama's name is attached.

The place where the Fire play is going to be changed to SeatGeek Park.

I don't know why the Mets would do it. And really, the only reason the White Sox would do it is for the money. Shields is a guy that supposedly is really good for the young pitchers. If Kopech is getting the call, you probably want him in the clubhouse more than Harvey.

I agree with this. Just like it's laughable that it would leak out Hahn always wanted to rebuild but was overruled by KW and JR. If it was true, it being leaked would not be considered very loyal, and RH would be looking elsewhere. I It's time people just realize RH, JR and KW are in agreement.

It wasn't for lack of effort. The Cubs were in some tough financial times. Ricketts was leveraged to the hilt. The Sun Times beat guy said the bank wanted him to sell the team. He did sell a non controlling portion and got his house back in order. I would also think a team 31-31 winning 102 games two years in a row would be really rare. I always get a kick out of it though. When the Red Sox beat the Yankees in the ALCS in 2004 after trailing 3-0, the deal was they were right where they wanted to be against the White Sox down 2-0. The White Sox can't compete this year. I get that. But they better compete next year. Losing 95 games isn't going to do for you what it did in the past.

Here's a quote from Hahn a few days ago: “We want to see more effective use of the changeup in the coming starts,” Hahn said, “as well as ideally going deeper in ballgames over the next several.” So you would have to ask yourself, what changed?

Maybe rabbit is a big fan of Jose Rondon.

Edwin Jackson. They really wanted Anibel Sanchez, but he went to Detroit. And, believe it or not, they came in 2nd for one James Shields. A couple more landmines Theo avoided.
-
If rabbit was dreading going to the game, and then found out Matt Harvey was pitching, I can't imagine why he still would not be dreading going to the game. Harvey is a gas can.

Zobrist, Heyward, Lester, Lackey, Chapman. Even with all of their younger cheap talent, their payroll was $171 million. The average WS champion has the 6th highest payroll.

I agree. At least it is an away game. They are the one team this year where it will be a playoff type atmosphere. I would think they would want to have him start out vs. someone else, but whateves. if he shuts down the Cubs, his legend will only grow.

I got one with onions. The lady working was sweet on me. She told me not to tell anyone.

The dollar hot dogs are the big ones, at least they were last year.

I have always been waiting for a beer to get to $10. The Modelo's are there. The domestic, non crafts are $9. It amazes me how people load up at the park.

They support it in many ways, but not with their wallets.

The problem is, some team(s) will. Losing 95 games anymore might get you the 7th or 8th pick. Is being that awful worth the opportunity to draft Carson Fulmer? I am not one of these people anymore, but the White Sox should do something for the premium ticketholders, like lock in their rates for when they are good. They aren't the business expense write off they used to be. Some people are shelling out tens of thousands of dollars for this crap. Someone watching on TV in Ottumwa probably couldn't care less, but these people are paying some freight.

He is the right handed version of John Danks.. But he was good in 2015. And he has little control if a miracle happens and he is fixed.

H denies it. That means, like Rob Porter his life is being ruined for no reason. He must be a fine man.

The Ozzeroo was on NBCSC the other day, and he thinks Anderson winds up in LF.

Great to read. TBH, wasn't a big fan of his pitching, but he seems like a great guy. Looks to help teammates. Is admired by all of them, and seems like a great family man. So happy for him and hi family and friends the scary part seems to have passed. Great job by all the medical people, from those who first helped him to those caring for him in the hospital. Maybe this will put a little spark into the team.

Except for 1 start, Q has either been awful or outstanding so far this season.

Looks really good right now, and hopefully it even looks better a couple of years from now. Still don't want to count the chickens before the hatch, but Eloy seems as can't miss as can be. Cease looks great, we will see if his body holds up. That is probably the biggest question with him.

The players association has at least partially blamed all of the tanking for the less than robust free agency last offseason. I wonder if the next labor agreement will include a lottery. That could really be a game changer, but probably favors bigger market teams.
