  1. I rarely watch anything on Fox. And I really think it's because when I was a little kid it was channel 32 on the UHF, and I needed the antenna with aluminum foil on it to get a decent picture. I would be much more likely to watch a show on one of the other "original" networks because of it.
  2. It was either change the players or change the coach. They changed the coach. It won't work, but their asses are covered.
  3. He thinks everyone reports to him. Even the press. It amazes me a guy who spent do much time ripping Obama and still does, finds it unpatriotic to not bow down to the POTUS. Then I remember...Trump.
  4. That's how it is for both sides. I was watching a portion of Trump's speech yesterday and he was talking about the IN democratic senator. He said the guy was weak, hejust did whatever Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Shumer told him to do. They need someone with more balls. Someone who will do whatever Trump told them to do.
  5. I think it's huge, especially if you are looking at a future star, and that one year is outside the winning window vs. inside the winning window. Be like Bryant. Call him up a couple weeks into the 2019 season.
  6. He fucks anything that will put something in his wallet.
  7. I agree with this. Ozzie Guillen was on TV the other day. He said he thought Anderson would wind up in the OF. Madrigal could be the pawn that pushes him there. Saves a bit of face if it is something that needs to be done.
  8. Frank Thomas came from AA but that was different on a couple of levels. First, the Sox were trying to win. Second, it already was established he didn't chase pitches. It it was an inch out of the zone, he wasn't swinging. Perhaps the best concept of a strike zone for a guy that big and strong ever. It's something Eloy hasn't proven yet. But to thinke he can get to Frank's level with that is really not fair or realistic.
  9. Yeah a guy coming back from a broken wrist hitting .449 with speed, defense and a high baseball IQ is clearly not what the Sox should consider.
  10. Ricky must have been 'shroomin last night.
  11. In 2007, the White Sox had the worst record for a time until Josh Fields and Jerry Owens lit it up in September. Never to light it up again.
  12. Headline for Rosenbloom's column in the Tribune. LMAO White Sox pitching against the recent Cubs offense — what could go wrong?
  13. So you are glad the Sox may be interested in the 15th rated player over the 4th rated player, even though you stated they need to take the best player available?
  14. I don't understand how anyone can conclude this guy won't hit any home runs. Look at little guys from the past. They usually start out hitting few, but figure something out. Making all that contact, in today's game, HRs will come. Besides, Ichiro rarely hit homers, and I think everyone would take him in his prime. His stature is what holds him back, but there are plenty of tiny guys who have flurished. Not just Altuve and Pedroia. Adam Eaton is little. He is pretty good. Kirby Puckett was 5'8" and had 4 homers his first 1300 MLB plate appearances. Then he hit 31. I don't think he will be a 30 HR hitter, but he seems like he is the best hitter in the draft. I think his size is causing people to out think themselves on the obvious pick if he is still there.
  15. I get that, but still, his BS is less than 90 miles away. You would think they would be on to it. There are plenty of republicans that know Donald Trump is full of it. It was basically Make Gary Great Again. Everyone lost but him. Full of lies and unfulfilled promises and boasts. And to this day, he calls it a great deal.
  16. What is interesting to me is how Indiana totally forgot how Trump fucked Gary.
  17. I think at least a couple of them will be there. Fry and Bummer would pretty much have to get hurt not to IMO>
  18. It's easy to sign free agents if you are willing to pay them more than anyone else. KW , RH seem to think they have some sort of power of persuasion when it comes to signing players. Remember just a few months ago how upset KW was at not getting a shot at Otani for $300k, and how the White Sox supposedly made an offer for Machado because they thought spending a year with the team gave them some sort of advantage money couldn't wipe right out. They have without question, done some things recently they haven't done either ever or for a very long time. But like the Bulls, I believe they will sign the elite free agents when it happens. There is no reason to think they are coming to 35th and the Ryan.
  19. There will be milions there. More people than you ever knew existed won't be able to get into the rally.
  20. What is it about Omar's managing that sets him apart? Can it be the fact he can win games with a relatively stacked roster? I think in the grand scheme of things White Sox style, Joe McEwing is way ahead of Omar as the next White Sox manager, but they will stick with Ricky until they can't.
  21. And if the White Sox call up Eloy and he struggles, some of the same people who are dying to see him will be crying about the Sox always rushing guys. There is no need.
  22. .326/.378/.526 Those were Gordon Beckham's splits in AA and AAA in 196 PA in 2009 as an older player than Eloy. People still complain he was rushed. There is no reason to rush Eloy.
  23. How the mighty have fallen. The Bulls are holding a draft lottery party next Tuesday.
  24. Eventually, they will get to the point where they have to add veterans through trade or free agency to put them over the top. That's where I have issue. If you don't think RH or JR or KW or all three had a clue how to supplement their roster to win before, I don't know why you would think they would now. They were at point C or D trying to get to E. Now they are at point A. To me, all it does is buys them time, eventually they will have to get to point C or D again, and they have shown in the past that is where they pretty much hit a wall.
