  1. And top it off with less confidence, there is a lot of trouble. He's had a few moments he has looked great. Hopefully something can happen where he can get to the point of getting pitches over the plate without having to groove them. Of course, as was pointed out, it's a problem with a lot of pitchers. If it were that easy to fix, teams would be lucky to score 2 runs a game.
  2. He got lit up in inning 1. What would make you believe he is a reliever? It isn't like he has command of one or two pitches and it's the others that get him in trouble. Until he learns to throw strikes, he blows no matter what you do with him. And on those rare occassions he actually has an idea where the ball is going, he's a pretty good starter.
  3. Rodon has had the same issue. Kopech probably will have it. If it can be fixed, the staff can be amazing. If not...we are seeing it.
  4. No, but it is their problem. This staff has a huge problem with control and command.
  5. They might not score 14 runs the next 5 games.
  6. Inability to throw strikes makes Gio and Fulmer gas cans.
  7. and this game is ova. This is sickening.
  8. On the bright side, I didn't go to this game.
  9. What is weird is why would someone refer this to a Real Estate guy? And even stranger was Steve Dunleavy who from his wiki page Dunleavy controversially wrote a series of articles in defence of Wayne DuMond, a Vietnam veteran who was convicted of rape in Arkansas in 1984, questioning the justice of DuMond's sentence and conviction. DuMond's sentence was eventually reduced to the point where he was paroled; within a year of his release, he went on to rape and murder two women in Missouri. Was this anywhere near the time Ivanka and Donny Jr. were in trouble with the law?
  10. I rarely watch anything on Fox. And I really think it's because when I was a little kid it was channel 32 on the UHF, and I needed the antenna with aluminum foil on it to get a decent picture. I would be much more likely to watch a show on one of the other "original" networks because of it.
  11. It was either change the players or change the coach. They changed the coach. It won't work, but their asses are covered.
  12. He thinks everyone reports to him. Even the press. It amazes me a guy who spent do much time ripping Obama and still does, finds it unpatriotic to not bow down to the POTUS. Then I remember...Trump.
  13. That's how it is for both sides. I was watching a portion of Trump's speech yesterday and he was talking about the IN democratic senator. He said the guy was weak, hejust did whatever Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Shumer told him to do. They need someone with more balls. Someone who will do whatever Trump told them to do.
  14. I think it's huge, especially if you are looking at a future star, and that one year is outside the winning window vs. inside the winning window. Be like Bryant. Call him up a couple weeks into the 2019 season.
  15. He fucks anything that will put something in his wallet.
  16. I agree with this. Ozzie Guillen was on TV the other day. He said he thought Anderson would wind up in the OF. Madrigal could be the pawn that pushes him there. Saves a bit of face if it is something that needs to be done.
  17. Frank Thomas came from AA but that was different on a couple of levels. First, the Sox were trying to win. Second, it already was established he didn't chase pitches. It it was an inch out of the zone, he wasn't swinging. Perhaps the best concept of a strike zone for a guy that big and strong ever. It's something Eloy hasn't proven yet. But to thinke he can get to Frank's level with that is really not fair or realistic.
  18. Yeah a guy coming back from a broken wrist hitting .449 with speed, defense and a high baseball IQ is clearly not what the Sox should consider.
  19. Ricky must have been 'shroomin last night.
  20. In 2007, the White Sox had the worst record for a time until Josh Fields and Jerry Owens lit it up in September. Never to light it up again.
  21. Headline for Rosenbloom's column in the Tribune. LMAO White Sox pitching against the recent Cubs offense — what could go wrong?
  22. So you are glad the Sox may be interested in the 15th rated player over the 4th rated player, even though you stated they need to take the best player available?
