Don't forget Edwin Jackson's $52 million, and they have won once, same as the 2005 White Sox. They are only going to spend more. Sustained success is very expensive. I think some White Sox fans think the supposed trillions the Sox are making with 2,000 fans in the stands now, will more than cover any later needs.

This is all great in theory, but reality strikes. If all the correct guys pan out and the White Sox spend billions on free agents and trades, with the same guys making the decisions, when it comes time for these guys to be paid....just remember, this is a team that couldn't afford to build around Sale, Q, and Eaton signed to cheap, very team friendly contracts.

Supreme Court lifts federal ban on sports betting

They will, at least eventually. 20 years from now, they will have windows at whatever they call Sox Park then to place your bets, while you go out to the smoking area to smoke some weed. Too much money not to. -
I get all that, but as a now partial season ticketholder, I can take losses. But it gets really difficult when it's not a competive game. A couple of years ago, I was on a streak of James Shields, game is over by the second inning starts. You feel ripped off.

Moncada back, Lopez on the mound for game 1, that should be OK. All bets are off game 2 with Fulmer. If the good version of him shows up, it should be fine. If the bad does, you might want to make sure you are there when the Sox bat in the first, before the game is over.

That was nice taking advantage of the Cubs not taking advantage. -

Not if he went back ion contact. Having the contact play on makes no sense. If that was on it’s in Maddon. If not, I think Russell just made a dumb play. -

Staring last year, the Sox seem to give up a lot of runs in the first inning. It might be time to review the pre game routine. -

If Giolito can get out of the first, the Sox have a shot today. Abreu and Yolmer own Hendricks. -

That would be a dealbreaker for me. If it’s in Wrigley, he needs to be in Sox swag. Compromise. -
Th only problem I have with it is Cooper is treated almost the exact opposite any other coach. Most coaches or managers, the player sucks , clearly a coaching or managing issue. They are great, it’s all the player. With Coop, pitchers can’t throw strikes, pitchers suck, hey what can you expect? Pitchers are great, it’s all Coop. There has not been 1 pitcher ever failed by Coop, while there seems to be hundreds of failures that are other coaches or managers’ faults. There isn’t a pitching coach in the world that would look good right now in a White Sox uniform. All I am saying is that if Coop really could walk on water like some seem to believe, the performance would be at least a little better.

I would bet more than half the fan base still think Kopech, Eloy, Robert, are going to dominate every level and become instant stars, and are expecting next year to be a 90+ win season. Any setbacks, and I think the torches will be out.. I think they are OK this year, since they haven’t sold many tickets, and won’t sell many more. But even Cubs fans got very impatient, and they never demanded winning very much.

Career .165 hitter as the leadoff man. That is just a joke.

Ricky was the bench coach in 2016 when it was all Robins fault the Sox didn’t make the playoffs. He was the bench coach. What was he doing ? Obviously nothing since he had no fault in anything, and he is now responsible for anything positive. He is a nice guy and speaks Spanish. Personally, and I don’t think this team is much better with anyone else in charge, I think Ricky is a bit overrated, and we may find out the hard way when the team is good.
