  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 24, 2017 -> 10:54 AM) If you want to criticize the last minute crap in this bill, you need to acknowledge the overall fact that Congress had just hours to see a 1200 page bill and then vote on it. It was a s***show. Yes that's commonplace, but you can't say one was OK and not the other. You CAN say that the GOP has done poorly here, which is obvious. But they are in fact doing many of the same things wrong the Dems did, keeping most of the chambers out of the discussion until a last minute bill was plopped in front of them. Considering how long they have been talking about repealing this and replacing this, their plan was as bad as could be. Sort of makes you wonder about their competence. Trump promised repeal and replace with something cheaper, with better care, and covered everyone. Where is it? And saying Obamacare did the same thing so we shouldn't complain that they are trying to ram this through without the proper study, why is that a legitimate excuse? If Obama was so bad, why is it OK when the Republicans do what appears to be the same thing, it's OK because Obama did it? Wasn't that the wrong thing? Maybe Obama wasn't the evil, America hater they claimed.
  2. Emma Thompson trying to jumpstart her failing career by saying Trump hit on her in the 90s. BS, she was maybe a 6 or if you really want to stretch it, a 7 back then.Sadly she isn't even that anymore.
  3. The headline on CNN right now is WH won't say if Trump will take blame if health care bill fails. We could speculate.
  4. "I'm President, you're not." A 70 year old man saying something like this is ridiculous. It's more ridiculous when he is POTUS.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 12:58 PM) 8 weeks? They should be working the next day! EDIT: While we're at it, why isn't the infant working!?! They are hiring at the coal mines. The entire bill is a big f*** you to anyone whose life would be affected if they had hundreds of thousands less in their accounts.
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 12:50 PM) What happened then has zero bearing on what happens now. I don't know. I bet it was used at least as an outline. A lot of things went right then. And for the most part, they acquired guys that were maybe a year closer than this current group of acquistions to contributing on the major league roster. There are a couple of guys here that could probably get their feet wet this year, but a lot of them are at least a couple of years away, and rookies usually don't lead to many wins. If it happens again where most everything goes right, it could be 3 years. Some problems, it could be a decade.
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 12:33 PM) Seems like it's DOA https://twitter.com/AP/status/844964519847841793 President Bannon is getting upset.
  8. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 11:16 AM) I see no possible way this team punts the next 3 seasons. The last time they went total rebuild, it took 3 tanking seasons although they projected 4. They wanted the team to be in place for the new park, but 1990 happened. And they didn't miss on their 1st round picks who were all on the team by August of 1990, and their trades were pretty stellar. They also didn't trade their main chips, Dotson, Bannister, DeLeon until after the 1987 season, when they dumped all 3, and didn't trade Harold for a year and a half after that. They kept Fisk and Ozzie, and Calderon.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 11:07 AM) Actual poll sent out by our White House I would think the record low approval rating, even Fox has a low approval rating, would be telling. I guess not. But you read some of these stories and look at the comments, some people don't care. They believe everything Trump says.
  10. Don't drug companies still make billions upon billions of dollars even with the evil Obamacare in place? These politicians are so in bed with the lobbyists, you know something is up when Eli Lilly (a company wherer one of my best friends is pretty high up) is basically masterbating at the thought of it being repealed and replaced. Billions aren't enough. Only people that can afford to get well should get well.
  11. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 09:42 AM) I am glad somebody said this. To me, if you are going to be great, nobody is going to stop you and that's what T-Mac was. Kwa Perhaps T-Mac gets better, quicker rather than on a younger Raptors team. If he learns quick, MJ may have maybe stuck around. There's an article floating around online of discussion between Billy Donovan and Kwame Brown, Kwame says he's not ready to be the #1 pick and he doesn't want to "do this". That says it all right there. C'mon man. This guy was a generational talent that MJ called names and caused him to be a stiff. MJ ruined it for all of us. What a time to be alive the early 2000s would have been even though it was first team to 90, wins. It's well known MJ just destroyed players, that's why he only won 6 titles his last 6 full seasons of playing. Think of how great they would have been without him. J4L is so full of s*** his eyes are brown.
  12. All I know is Tump has no problem trashing people with little or no evidence. He has never trashed Putin.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 02:52 PM) Those two were 18-year olds coming out? There's a reason Washington said adios to MJ after he was done playing. They said adios to Michael not because he killed Kwami Brown. A lot of people apparently killed him. They got rid of him because they got him to play, make the team some money and didn't want to give him back his piece at the same price. Michael got played in DC. If McGrady could play, and he could, he would have been fine with Michael, although his first season he struggled a bit, and Michael would have been gone. But it retrospect, the Bulls got another title, and that would have been the max if the had made the trade, and if they made the trade, they might not have won #6. I saw McGrady on ESPN a few weeks ago and he was talking about that near trade. He said at the time potentially being traded for Scottie Pippen freaked him out. So it probably wouldn't have been MJ that killed him if he didn't become a player.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 02:44 PM) Yup. I don't want Michael, then or now, near any young player/s. If people don't think he played at least some role into what Kwame Brown turned into they cray cray. Yeah, he killed Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. Those guys might have turned out OK.
  15. Oh Kellyanne. A tweet about Hillary is coming back to haunt her: Kellyanne Conway ✔ @KellyannePolls Most honest people I know are not under FBI investigation, let alone two. https://twitter.com/foxnews/status/792159005774794753 … 8:12 PM - 28 Oct 2016 17,270 17,270 Retweets 18,969 18,969 likes
  16. Considering this quote: “I love WikiLeaks.” I don't know where Trump has a leg to stand on regarding leaks if the leaks are telling everyone what really happened.
  17. The guy whose kid OD'd and sold everything to follow Trump around and sing Trump songs at all his rallies as abandoned the Donald. Says his support of this Health Care bill is going back on his word. He lied to you sir? That's unusual. Actually, I feel bad for the guy. He obviously loved his son very much, and he is still trying to raise money for rehab programs and such.
  18. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 01:03 PM) I thought Trump was going to stop by and take care of that. He could stop all the shooting in a week.
  19. Cyber crime investigations are going to be cut back to help fund Trump's golf weekends in Florida even though he told everyone he wouldn't have enough time to golf. He would be too busy working in the WH.
  20. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 12:45 PM) I wonder if they are still evaluating him as a SP option down the road? They talked about his ability to start after drafting him, then put him on a fast track to the majors via the bullpen to try and help the team last season. But now with the organization taking a step back and having the ability to extend his development, I wonder if they are thinking about trying him in the rotation somewhere this year and evaluating whether or not he has a shot and what he needs to work on to be able to start. I believe Hostetler said he isn't going to be a starter.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) So much winning I'm already sick of winning. He's like.....really smart.
  22. Whatever happened to Trump's secret plan he had to destroy ISIS? If he just would have done that inauguration day, he never would have had to have been embarrassed by his Muslim ban.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 09:58 AM) Is there any evidence out there that says throwing 3 lefties in a row matters at all? Or is it just one of those weird baseball things that people think matters? I don't think it matters much, the best pitcher is still better, but if you can, you might as well mix it up a bit. Make the other team change their line up every day.
  24. Get raped, report it, get deported. #makingamericagreatagain Grab illegals by the p****, don't worry about it.
  25. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 08:36 AM) Deductibles will increase an average of ~$1500 under the GOP bill I still do not understand why they're pushing this so hard. Yeah yeah, big tax cuts for millionaires, but that can be accomplished without intentionally killing poor people (the end result of their gutting of Medicaid) and blowing up the health insurance market. It's being replaced with something terrific. Cheaper rates, lower deductibles, better care for everyone. Everything else is fake. Why isn't anyone grilling Trump on this and his promises it's reported he has kept? How is this bill anywhere near what he promised, yet he calls it great. Using his line, he's a total disaster. An embarrassment. “I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me,” Trump tweeted in 2015, following up with: “Huckabee is a nice guy but will never be able to bring in the funds so as not to cut Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. I will.” He doubled down and kept doubling down, a month later tweeting, “The Republicans who want to cut SS & Medicaid are wrong. A robust economy will Make America Great Again!” Within the first 70 days days of his presidency, Trump has followed through on another campaign promise, dismantling Obamacare, by promoting a repeal bill. However, the pursuit of that goal has led him to break his promises to fully protect Medicare and Medicaid. The repeal bill makes significant cuts to Medicaid coverage and shrinks Medicare funding.
