QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 09:42 AM) I am glad somebody said this. To me, if you are going to be great, nobody is going to stop you and that's what T-Mac was. Kwa Perhaps T-Mac gets better, quicker rather than on a younger Raptors team. If he learns quick, MJ may have maybe stuck around. There's an article floating around online of discussion between Billy Donovan and Kwame Brown, Kwame says he's not ready to be the #1 pick and he doesn't want to "do this". That says it all right there. C'mon man. This guy was a generational talent that MJ called names and caused him to be a stiff. MJ ruined it for all of us. What a time to be alive the early 2000s would have been even though it was first team to 90, wins. It's well known MJ just destroyed players, that's why he only won 6 titles his last 6 full seasons of playing. Think of how great they would have been without him. J4L is so full of s*** his eyes are brown.

All I know is Tump has no problem trashing people with little or no evidence. He has never trashed Putin.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 02:52 PM) Those two were 18-year olds coming out? There's a reason Washington said adios to MJ after he was done playing. They said adios to Michael not because he killed Kwami Brown. A lot of people apparently killed him. They got rid of him because they got him to play, make the team some money and didn't want to give him back his piece at the same price. Michael got played in DC. If McGrady could play, and he could, he would have been fine with Michael, although his first season he struggled a bit, and Michael would have been gone. But it retrospect, the Bulls got another title, and that would have been the max if the had made the trade, and if they made the trade, they might not have won #6. I saw McGrady on ESPN a few weeks ago and he was talking about that near trade. He said at the time potentially being traded for Scottie Pippen freaked him out. So it probably wouldn't have been MJ that killed him if he didn't become a player.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 02:44 PM) Yup. I don't want Michael, then or now, near any young player/s. If people don't think he played at least some role into what Kwame Brown turned into they cray cray. Yeah, he killed Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. Those guys might have turned out OK.

Oh Kellyanne. A tweet about Hillary is coming back to haunt her: Kellyanne Conway ✔ @KellyannePolls Most honest people I know are not under FBI investigation, let alone two. https://twitter.com/foxnews/status/792159005774794753 … 8:12 PM - 28 Oct 2016 17,270 17,270 Retweets 18,969 18,969 likes

Considering this quote: “I love WikiLeaks.” I don't know where Trump has a leg to stand on regarding leaks if the leaks are telling everyone what really happened.

The guy whose kid OD'd and sold everything to follow Trump around and sing Trump songs at all his rallies as abandoned the Donald. Says his support of this Health Care bill is going back on his word. He lied to you sir? That's unusual. Actually, I feel bad for the guy. He obviously loved his son very much, and he is still trying to raise money for rehab programs and such.

QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 01:03 PM) I thought Trump was going to stop by and take care of that. He could stop all the shooting in a week.

Cyber crime investigations are going to be cut back to help fund Trump's golf weekends in Florida even though he told everyone he wouldn't have enough time to golf. He would be too busy working in the WH.

QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 12:45 PM) I wonder if they are still evaluating him as a SP option down the road? They talked about his ability to start after drafting him, then put him on a fast track to the majors via the bullpen to try and help the team last season. But now with the organization taking a step back and having the ability to extend his development, I wonder if they are thinking about trying him in the rotation somewhere this year and evaluating whether or not he has a shot and what he needs to work on to be able to start. I believe Hostetler said he isn't going to be a starter. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) So much winning I'm already sick of winning. He's like.....really smart.

Whatever happened to Trump's secret plan he had to destroy ISIS? If he just would have done that inauguration day, he never would have had to have been embarrassed by his Muslim ban.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 09:58 AM) Is there any evidence out there that says throwing 3 lefties in a row matters at all? Or is it just one of those weird baseball things that people think matters? I don't think it matters much, the best pitcher is still better, but if you can, you might as well mix it up a bit. Make the other team change their line up every day. -
Get raped, report it, get deported. #makingamericagreatagain Grab illegals by the p****, don't worry about it.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 08:36 AM) Deductibles will increase an average of ~$1500 under the GOP bill I still do not understand why they're pushing this so hard. Yeah yeah, big tax cuts for millionaires, but that can be accomplished without intentionally killing poor people (the end result of their gutting of Medicaid) and blowing up the health insurance market. It's being replaced with something terrific. Cheaper rates, lower deductibles, better care for everyone. Everything else is fake. Why isn't anyone grilling Trump on this and his promises it's reported he has kept? How is this bill anywhere near what he promised, yet he calls it great. Using his line, he's a total disaster. An embarrassment. “I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me,” Trump tweeted in 2015, following up with: “Huckabee is a nice guy but will never be able to bring in the funds so as not to cut Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. I will.” He doubled down and kept doubling down, a month later tweeting, “The Republicans who want to cut SS & Medicaid are wrong. A robust economy will Make America Great Again!” Within the first 70 days days of his presidency, Trump has followed through on another campaign promise, dismantling Obamacare, by promoting a repeal bill. However, the pursuit of that goal has led him to break his promises to fully protect Medicare and Medicaid. The repeal bill makes significant cuts to Medicaid coverage and shrinks Medicare funding.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 08:34 AM) Look, we have no evidence that the Russians literally hacked the voting machines, which is the only charge anyone has made and definitely zero people have brought up all of the weird Russian connections, praise for Putin/Russia, softening the GOP platform against Russia, blowing off NATO to go visit Russia, stacking the admin with Russia-friendly guys, constantly lying about contacts with Russians, having paid Russian stooges embedded deep within both the campaign and admin, etc. etc. Exactly, nothing to see here. Fake news. Trying to take the focus off all Trump has accomplished since he took over, slashing a couple of strokes off his handicap. .
-
Screw this Russian crap. Investigations need to focus on Benghazi. Take another look into Hillary's emails. She's the one that needs to be behind bars, not these criminals.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 08:45 PM) That would be the point though, they wouldn't need to set up different networks because they could just set up in whichever state has the worst regulations and then sell policies in all fifty states from there. Same reason pretty much all credit card are from South Dakota or Delaware: they have the most favorable usury laws. They have to set up their networks of doctors and make deals with them. If it would help anyone, it would help the young and healthy, anyone else, no way. The mechanism is in place right now for companies to do this at least on a small scale, and not one has shown any motivation It's the next trickle down economics. Just a bunch of BS..
-
Insurance across state lines is a BS talking point. It won't freaking matter. They would have to set up networks in every state. How long that would take and how much it would cost would certainly eat into any of the "competitive savings" the right tries to mention. I think there is actually a provision in Obamacare for companies to cross state lines and not one company has done so.I also think some states have made it legal and yet no takers.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 06:31 PM) I think I heard some reporters saying they wanted Rodon to be the 5th day starter. If that's the case and I heard right, then i think Rodon would go to the bottom and it will be Q, MiGo, Shields, Holland, Rodon. Really, does it matter the order they put the rotation in after Q? lol. Probably switch Shields and Holland so they go L,R, L,R,L -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 02:20 PM) I read this as Jerry Reinsdorf and almost s*** myself. Sad news. He had been in questionable health for a while IIRC. Amazing that he made it as long as he did. I don't think there will ever be a consensus on what kinda GM Krause was. But the Pippen/Grant additions in the summer of '87 to this day is one of the great heists in NBA history. I saw him in an elevator at USCF about 2010. He was scouting for someone, I think the Mets. He was breathing like he had just climbed the John Hancock.
-
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 01:39 PM) Jerry Krause has passed away. 77 years old. Shocking. He had been in ill health. People can say what they will about him, and maybe a lot is legit, but 6 titles as a GM makes him a HOFer in my book. Too bad it will be too late for him to enjoy. RIP Crumbs. The Bulls reached the highest highs and the lowest lows under his watch. A lot of controversy, a lot of pettiness it appeared, but a dynasty.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 12:41 PM) It's released that there's no evidence of Russia fixing the election but the talk is still impeach Trump. This Muslim ban is scary though. I'm worried my friends from Indonesia aren't ever going to be able to come visit. As far as I can tell they are still investigating Russia's involvement with interfering with the election. People forget, Trump actually asked the Russians to hack into Hillary's emails. That's on record. He claims he was being sarcastic. Was he? He seemed to love wikileaks getting hacked email info. You sarcastically yell fire in a movie theater, you may go to jail.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 12:23 PM) How else is a man in his position supposed to get information??? That's true. At least he knows the only reputable source for news is Fox News. Fair and balanced. The funny thing is the guy really isn't even a republican. They know he can be manipulated to get what they want. My theory as to why he does these rallies is for all the cheering. His people IMO are playing him because he is so dumb and really just interested in being popular. His supporters don't care what he does, so they send him out, they all cheer for him, he comes back and they tell him, see, the people really love the Muslim ban. They don't care if you colluded with Russia, they love Putin. They really love the new health care idea. All the women want you to grab them by the *****, and he turns on Fox and Hannity has his tongue up his ass, and Trump feels the love. It's sick. I think if they get Obamacare replaced and get a tax cut, the republicans will then cut bait on all this lunacy. His tweets alone show something is wrong. If he really took the testimony yesterday like he took it on twitter, the man isn't capable of comprehending anything. And if he didn't, he's obviously trying to hide something. He shows every day he isn't fit to be POTUS.

If it's true the Sox have no agreement in place for any of the better players, it seems obvious they are positioning themselves for a shot at this guy no matter when he is declared. If they aren't going to spend more than $300k or just slightly more the next period, if he's declared early, the 2 period penalty, in reality is just one. And if they are saving all their bonus if he is declared after 6/15, not being tied to anyone gives them more to throw at him. Obviously they would prefer after 6/15, but if it before, unless they have some unknown commitments, I can't see them not going after him. Obviously price still matters. If he goes for Moncada money, there is no chance.
