Kopech update
Why is he just now building up to bullpen sessions?

Sox vs Twins 9/17 1:10
Stone has become fantastic this season.

Q traded to Cubs/Jimenez, Cease ++ to Sox
Q is a great security blanket and is what we need. The health seems to be coming back to our staff at the right time should Rodan see the field in the next couple of weeks and will make next spring interesting as hell as all of sudden Lopez may be an option. We have some cost controlled pieces.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX PLAYOFF CLINCHING WINNER!!!
So ended 5-5 against the Twins, not too shabby. Robert and Yoan need to get right though for this team to do anything. That being said great job by the pitching this week. Big day for Edwin and I wonder if Mazara is left off playoff roster.

Sox vs Twins 9/17 1:10
How does a player like Robert just fall completely apart. In a normal season I would say it is workload but we are not to the end of May in a normal year. A week ago he was a top player in all of baseball.

I'm at a loss after those last two at bats.

MLB 2020 Catch-All thread
Can I throw this into the mix.....doesn't the expanded playoffs favor the teams like the Sox that cannot afford the $200M payroll? I hate the idea of this but think the schedule should be reduced to 140 games and games should only be 7 innings long.

Sox vs Twins. 9/16 - 7:10
I have no issue with looking at Nomar for next year if nothing opens up over the winter but there is no reason why he is in there now. He looks foolish at the plate.

Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
If you went through the game threads the last two nights you'd think that Dunning and Cease were getting shelled.

**Water-Cooler Thread (TV stuff)**
I watched the Wire about 5 years ago and thought it was good. I wish I watched it in real time as I think when you binge something it takes away from it. I watched it over like a month and at the end it all seemed to blend together.

Stone's Throwing of Shade at Ricky
Renteria has the team playing well with 2 starting pitchers, a bullpen that is all over the place and a DH and RF, two key offensive positions mind you. that are beyond pathetic. I question many things he does on paper but the fact is this team is playing incredibly well and I have to give him credit for that. I stated yesterday I think Edwin stays in there as he has the track record but running Mazara out there at this point is indefensible.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Im fine with Cease.....i think we sink or swim with EE and Mazara is done as a starter hopefully. Eloy cant play LF Colome is nails

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
Nice if our horseshit players showed up in big games.

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
Cease isnt doing it with smoke and mirrors he needs to figure shit out and he will be fine.

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
Yes let's not get carried away.

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
So should Minnesota

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
Cease has stuff and as such can pitch over the peripherals.
-
Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
Cease can get by on stuff. That is something Lopez can't. Cease will be fine long term. He will benefit from this which sucks that Kopech isn't here.

Sox vs Twins. 9/14 - 7:10
EE is a veteran presence and we dont know that impact so I get him playing but Mazara is baffling.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
I think the game management by Nagy at the end of the half was game changing. At that time with he way the offense was going, you go in tied at 6. Patricia isn't going to make it through the season. Watching the Lions was painful.

AL MVP Race
I would disagree but Abreu's defense has been something to behold....well except for the random dropping of the ball. Oddly Abreu and Anderson could be the 4th and 5th best position on the team next year with no drop off in their game

Crunching the SoS Numbers
I think in the playoffs pitchers that are still around will be stronger in the playoffs this year then prior years. Hitters will be more fresh as well so there are trade offs.
-
Crunching the SoS Numbers
Every team is in this boat. It is a 60 game schedule with normal off days. The bullpen will be better suited for these playoffs then after a 162 game grind. I think all playoff pitching will be better this fall as guys will be more fresh.

Sox playoff chances sit at 100%, 3rd in AL for WS odds
The cubs play Minnesota, Cleveland and the White Sox. They will have as much a role as any in the division championship.
